VERY hard grader. I am failing his class, check over my papers with him, and do all my work. Picks favorites and gives them high scores, while he fails everyone else. Does not even teach writing until AFTER everyone received a failing grade, when it's too late to pass. Vocab quizzes EXTREMELY difficult. When I talked to him regarding writing, he said I'm doing "fine" and sent me away, ignoring me. Is not concerned about failing students.

For students who enjoy learning and pushing themselves beyond getting a good grade, Mr. Quinlisk is the best teacher ever. For those who just want the grade, he will seem really strict and condescendi

Best teacher I have ever had. He made the class fun, but still I learned a ton about what makes good writing. And we got to watch Dead Poets Society.

Rough on students and picks favorites, but very helpful. Seems a little pretentious, but in a good, Dr. Frasier Crane way.

He was the first teacher to actually reach out and tell me I have talent. The things he said about thinking and observing the world around me really stuck. That never happened with another teacher. :)

Difficult grader, but nice guy. He's always willing to correct work, even for another class. Funny and REALLY smart. One of the only good English teachers. Wally Wellness!!
