Joan Traffas was my World History teacher at St Mary's over 25 years ago. Tonight my husband asked me who were some of the people in my life who helped me realize that I was smart and that I had something important to say. Ms Traffas immediately came to mind. She paid attention to me in class and what topics energized me, and from there she encouraged me to write a term paper on a topic that would become my main area of interest in college. I am grateful to Ms Traffas! Thank you, Joan.
One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Doesn't teach students how to think, but rather how to think like she does. I would not recommend anyone to take a class with her.
she was the worst teacher ever not real but was pretty bad
she really challenges me to think in her class-i feel like i've learned SO much, not just about history, but about formulating thoughts and expressing my ideas
she liked me because i was a baby marxist. that was cool, but i see how other people wouldn't like her.
Mrs. Traffas is the best teacher I have ever had! She challenges her students to think for themselves. She holds the student responsible for learning.
I agree with the earlier post. Mrs. Traffas is very cold and uncaring unless you are an "A" student. Really doesn't know much about Nietzche like she thinks.
I really like Mrs. Traffas a lot and she has helped me a lot. I'm certainly not valedictorian. She's truely part of what makes this school St. Mary's.
An amazing and inspiring teacher. She challenges you, and is very supportive--brings out her students' potential. Not for the lazy--you will work hard!
The best teacher I ever had in my life. I love her. I would do anything for her. She helped make me into who I am today!
the hardest class i ever took here, but i learned so much from it. a very cool teacher, popular with students
