I had Mrs. Manes this past year for chemistry. To be completely honest, this was one of the worst classes not just for me, but for all the students within my class. Although she is kind and very polite, she can be very sarcastic at times which may make her hard to work with. She is very knowledgeable but she CANNOT TEACH. She expects her honors kids to retain all the information which she casually weaves in her web of monotonous and confusing lectures. If you have her, I suggest you drop.

knows chemistry but is AWFUL at teaching it. drop her class right away if you are looking for a good grade b/c no matter what you do you will always end up with a B. never helps you and expects you to know everything already. no notes, no handouts, no power points. only helps you on labs when there is someone observing her in the classroom

Mrs. Manes is very intelligent. Though one thing is, she is VERY confusing if you do not know anything about chemistry, like me. The first day in her class we just sat and watched her write on the board and she expected us to grasp the knowledge from there.. Whenever we ask questions she would ALWAYS say "You tell me" What teacher does that? Seriously.. And I literally did not do ANY labs, and still passed with a B. When I actually did them, I still got a B. She expects to learn too fast.
