I'm about to graduate and am rating all my teachers here. But this one got fired so this review is pointless. Anyways, she was fired for having migraines and showing up anyways, subsequently falling asleep in class and being in pain and generally being dishonest about her condition, but it took awhile to fire her because her husband covered for her, as he worked across the hall. Before all that though, she was a Tigger-obsessed halfway decent teacher. Davis replaced her, so we're all better off.

Mrs. Thayer is teaching at my school for the first year this year because apparently the last school she taught at didn't work out so much, which I can understand now that I have been in her class and experienced her teaching style first-hand. Maybe it's the way she talks or how when you ask a question for clarity on homework she takes your pencil and does the problem for you talking every once in a while to ask if that makes sense which is nice to have the problem done, but I still can't do it.

I did not understand math when I had mrs. thayer. She is a very nice person overall, and I enjoyed the atmosphere of the class. However, I struggled with almost every concept due to the way she taught

I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. Mrs. Thayer is really nice and always willing to help you understand something. If only she could finish a lesson every now and then...

don't take her class if you need to actually learn! she doesn't teach her classes. she sits in the back of the class at her computer, starts the lesson w/ 10 min left

she's one of those teachers that teaches to the top 5%. you can ask for help outside the class and she offers xtra credit to boost grades but if she actually taught in class, those wouldnt be needed

Thayer's a really good teacher, but she's such a strict grader! Like she gives you half credit for miniscule things. But she's still cool and she does tell really corny jokes but they do help!

Great teacher. Grades fairly hard but that helps teach you to get things all the way correct. AP calculus is really fun and we learn a lot. You can fix a low grade if you try really hard and do EC.

great teacher, she makes everyone pass the IB or AP test (i have had her for both). my only problem is that if you do not understand something she won't go over the concept, only individual problems. sweetie!

For IB Math 1, she taught horribly first semester and then better second semester. Could grade a little easier. Is nice but does not seem to handle problems well.
