I was in his Jazz Ensemble for 3 years, never joined Choir so I can't speak for them. However, Joe Howard is an incredible musician who can play any instrument and has perfect (relative) pitch. He can be a push over, and some people don't respect him but those are the people who don't really care about the class. He's generous and nice although can be a tad bit disorganized. Go easy on the guy though, he's a great person, even if he's not an outstanding teacher.

Mr. Howard has been my choir teacher for the past 2 years and hopefully for the next 2. It's so fun to be in his class and actually learn to read music.

Mr. Howard is probably one of the greatest musicians of today. He was making more money than his parents at the age of 17 and obtained perfect pitch at a young age. He is very talented and inspiring.

OK. the man's talented BUT HE CANT TEACH. as long as he is the choir director, fremont will never have another award winning choir... his older students do most of the work! BAH!
