He changed my academic direction and I am better for it. Without him, I would not be where I am today. The best teacher/mentor I ever had, and I wasn't in APUSH.
Ten years later, I still remember how badly he treated me & how he loved his favorites. All students have a right to learn, not just Apushies. Who will he pick on in retirement?
i'll admit he plays favorites, but he is probably my favorite teacher ever, he sometimes goes off on random tangents but i love him neways!
he's a good teacher, but soo hard + intimidating. i spent six hours on a HW essay-got an A-. it's obvious whether he likes a student or not. igor is annoying.
Traumatizes too many students to make up for any redeeming qualities. Embarrassed me and others in front of class for no good reason. A scary/resentful man.
Very enjoyable class for most part, throws tantrums occaisonally, major player of favorites, especially females.
Had him long ago. V. inspiring, v. learned, egoistic, had favorites, big-mouthed, huh? on grading. One of the best if you can get past the bad stuff...
he favors kids A LOT and some things he says about people do NOT need to be said-
He is awesome! If you pay attention in class you will do well. You learn more in his class than any others.People that do poorly blame him, but it's their fault
his grades are arbitrary.he actually told me that. he said it doesnt matter because grades are all arbitrary anyway. take that anyone who says he grades fairly!
he seems to expect his students to be so happy that he's teaching. it's so annoying how condescending he can get. plus his grading rubric is seriously screwed
He's awesome, I keep getting smarter and smarter in his class, he seems to be very happy w/ himself though, no big, that's ok...
He knows a lot and that comes across very well. He teaches effectively. However, plays favorites and distances himself from the students.
Mr. McCoy is an awesome teacher. I've never remembered much from my classes 'till his. If you respect him, he will like you. Be a beadle...
if mccoy weren't so arrogant,he might have been able to teach us something.
Real good. Believes he knows almost everything and maybe he does. A wealth of knowledge and willing to share.
Good teacher, but hard. Extremely arrogant and obnoxious, especially with his nicknames. He definitely has favorites.
Mr. McCoy is a very tough grader, but he rewards those who work hard and it is for this reason that I learned so much from him. A good teacher.
A teacher that someone should be happy to have. immense understanding of his subject. those who think he is mean are the ones that fail his class...
He has very hard tests and quizzes. He is a fun guy to be around, and makes lots of jokes. He is great if you are on his good side
LARGE ego...alittle strange...but teachs alot and so you actully learn...except hard tests, weird stories and loud unexpected outbursts, and the HISTORY GOD!
unbelievable at helping with your writing, funny guy, apush = funtimes
He's hard, but you learn more and write better than anywhere else.
He's tough, and definitely favors a few kids, but his grades are fair, not arbitrary.
I love Mr. McCoy. He picks favorites but he will like you if you don't test his capability to teach. He's extremely intelligent and makes class enjoyable.
Plays favorites (although they might tell you otherwise). Can go from normal class to ranting on a student in record time. Good teacher. That's all.
He was such a bad teacher. He has the biggest ego in the world... and will only like you if you praise him. Needs to learn that APUSH isn't that great.
mr.mccoy can be kinda rude sometimes...hard to approach and he's funny but really scary...def. plays faves--he looks like a newborn bird!!!!
McCoy is all about the tough love, but I learned more from him than I did from a lot of other teachers
in '90 he was very caustic and played favorites. Not approachable at all.
