VAUGHAN is the BEST teacher at SHS. He has an evident passion for (Physics), but is super knowledgeable in other areas too. I believe that he could teach history, theatre, or english if he wanted. He is just that smart. He is also one of the funniest and engaging teachers. However, while he is entertaining, he is also a strict and discipline oriented person (this isn't actually bad though.) The only downside I can think of is that he sometimes feels intimidating, and might play favorites.
While he is a good teacher, he is one of the worst people I've ever met. He can be nice when he wants to be. But if he's nice to you, it's because he wants something from you. He has never done anything for anyone for the sake of being a good person. If he's ever done anything for someone else it's because he's expected a HUGE thank you. Behind your back he will sabotage you and you can never know what he thinks of you. He's going to die alone because no one can or will ever love him.
Best teacher in the school, perhaps whole country.
grat teacher. he says things very clearly, and when he says something, it is like information is being put into your mind. the only thing is that you hav to do things his way.
Mr. Vaughan is a phenomenal teacher, but his class does have some serious drawbacks. It is geared around Scarsdale's Physics curiculum, not the College Board's. While I know that a class is not supposed to be geared around standardized testing, it would have helped al little if I didn't have to teach myself 5 topics that he didn't cover before the SAT Physics. However, I didn't have to study the covered topics at all because Mr. Vaughan taught those very well.
Vaughan is a brilliant guy and a great teacher. While physics is a generally difficult subject, his clear, engaging, and very involved teaching style makes the class fairly easy, as long as you do the work you are supposed to do and don't mess around. He is very fun and again, very engaging, but he will not tolerate any messing around in his class. That being said, if you're one for skipping class, he won't penalize you for it personally. Just be prepared come testing day, because you'll fail.
Vaughan is a genius, and a wonderful teacher. Still, no matter how good your teacher is, AP Physics is hard and you need to study in order to do well.
He's a teacher where you sit in class and admire the way he teaches you. He not only knows his stuff but knows how to teach it. Hilarious, scary, strange, wonderful, pray you get Vaughan.
Best teacher ever. He gives you everything you need to succeed and if you do your assignments and pay attention in class you will actually learn and not just have to memorize to do well
if only had him for a few days but i can already tell he's a really great teacher and a very cool guy
Mr. Vaughan is one of the hardest teachers in the school, but he is also the best teacher in the school, so it kind of evens out. Oh, and he destroys his AP Physics class, so if you take it, be ready for pain (though it is a pretty fun course).
great debate coach, knows a lot about every concievable subject from science to theatre. definitely plays favorites but willing to revise his opinions
If you don't annoy him and have the drive, he will do wonderful things with you and your intellect.
I do not think he likes me and he does play favorites. But I still look forward to his class (AP) and I always am fascinated by his lectures and his very well thought out and interesting projects. He really knows how to teach.
Mr Vaughan was the greatest teacher ive ever had. He made physics interesting. I learned more in one year of his class than i learned in all of high school I LOVE VAUGHAN
Mr. Vaughan is the greatest teacher i have ever had. He is intelligent, insightful, creative, and fun. Not only did he make physics a joy, but inspired me to continue learning sciences as a college major.
AP Physics is intimidating and tough which makes him seem not-so-approachable but hes a great teacher
Simply great at teaching. Take AP Physics if you're good at math. It's hard but worth it.
Excellent teacher -- funny, well-prepared, makes his subject clear and inspires interest
Plays favorites, if you're on speech and debate, u'd know it
Vaughan, dont know what he eats for breakfast, but he wakes you up in the morning. Especially after Capucci
Strict but passionate about his subject; always very patient and helpful.
He's the LD MAN..MAn....Man...man..man. Seriously though, this guy is extraorddinarily dedicated and communicates very well with students.
very hard class, but always interesting, mr vaughan was really nice, one of the best teachers at SHS
best physics teacher i had--made it intersting, challenging but logical. nice person, can be strict sometimes, but is reasonable
Extremely nice guy. Very funny. Communicates well with students. Very dedicated. GO SPEECH AND DEBATE!!
His passion for physics has inspired me to consider pursuing a physics major in college. The best teacher that I've EVER had b/c he actually CHALLENGES students.
He's very adament about his course, and is a very bright man, but he is also extremely arrogant, and is constantly caught in an it's all about me mode .
One of the most inspiring people I have ever known. I wish I could have had him for a teacher.
very good teacher. can be intimidating sometimes but is generally nice
Never had him for physics, but talked with him lots about the subject. Loves physics (loves rigor) and loves his students. Good for discussion on science, theater, or most imaginable topics. Willing to put in any amount of effort for students.
One of the best teachers i have ever had. He is very interesting and makes physics fun, although he is very hard. A very cool guy too. GO MR. VAUGHAN
