Azrak is a master teacher. It's true he can be challenging, esp if you do not like his methods or are thin skinned or not fully motivated. However if you rise to the challenge you can expect a university level experience found in the halls of a HS.
Considering Azrak kicked me out of his class 10 years ago because I was geting B's in his class and might ruin his AP English average test score, I would say he is a de-motiovator and doesn't appreciate the hard working students that want to be challenged. (whose bitter?)
he'll love you if you agree with him and he'll think you're slow if you don't. his writing is not nearly as impressive as he thinks it is.
I have fond memories of his class. He helped me develop an appreciation for poetry.
turned me onto literature & teaching--he's why i'm in the profession
Kicked me out of his AP class in the early 1990's. I'm now a Ph.D. with more published articles than him...don't let him convince you that you're no good!
Convinced me I coldn't write.I then went on to win accolades for writing in my profession. He was brilliant in his own way, I guess.
Makes u fix essays a million times and doesnt tell u how to improve, just says REDO IT
Terrific teacher. THE BEST. Being in his class makes me so HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
