I had Mr. Coakley back in the day. I know firsthand that he can't spot athletic ability unless it is extremely obvious. Even then, he'll do much to squander that talent in his students/athletes. As a coach with a fair amount of success at all levels (kids through college), I find myself using Mr. Coakley's teaching and coaching styles as examples of what not to strive to emulate. I am never at a loss for examples from his classes or coaching.

He stares you down when you ask a question that's already been answered and he insults people if they make a mistake even if they're not good at that activity.
Hes pretty cool. Hes not as mean as you think. He does a lot for the kids.
If you ask a question thats been asked before, he just stares at you and makes you totally embarrassed, all my friends agree
I actually think he's kinda cool! But having ot go into the boys' locker room is really annoying! :)
