I am extremely happy to have had him in his last of 52 years at Regis. He knows deeply about almost all imaginable topics and truly teaches you how to think about history. If you are engaged and care about the class, you can expect a good grade.
Smartest man ever. Knows everything about anything.
A very nice man and a good teacher. He gave me a huge amount of help when I struggled, more than any other teacher I ever had. I never had trouble in his course again. I do question his grading, though, since I got an F on my first paper, went to his office to find out why, and he made it into a Satisfactory after I explained my point of view about the paper's topic.
The best teacher I ever had, and someone I tell my son was my mentor. He also tried to coach me in track, but I wasn't that good and that didn't mean anything to him in the big scheme. He could teach history, math or English without missing a beat. Wasn't strict, just expected you to do the work. Anyone who had him was blessed.
The man is an absolute genius. There is no doubt he knows the material, there is no doubt he made some of it, and there is no doubt he can teach it. Some can't appreciate it, but that is their problem. The man runs the show called Regis, along with Bender and Muify. I wish the best for him and the last classes of students that have the privilege of being taught by him.
Vey dry wit, reminded me of Patrick McGoohan.
One of the smartest men I have ever met. A great teacher, but you do have to learn a lot from the text itself. If you pay attention in his class you will find it incredibly informative and humorous.
I don't find him as hard as people think, since as long as you take good notes from the readings you should be fine. I used to hate history before having him and now i love it! This guy is THE MAN!
he's a nice guy outside of class but a definite stick-in-the-mud. oh, and, uh, he doesn't teach. just makes you read and expects you know it all.
I had him about thirty years ago. Very good knowledge base, but very stuffy and formal in class. Also made fun of me when i wasn't in the room, so I'm not his biggest fan. Pretty pompous.
an amazing teacher. tough course. u will learn a lot though
I had Mr. Connelly twenty years ago and he was one of the best teachers in the school back then. I can only imagine he is better now. That is to say, he is not easy, but you learn a lot.
A bona fide genius...go to him for help in any subject, not just history.....
He's extremely chill but the class itself is extremely difficult
he is a really nice and intelligent guy, but i just do not enjoy the way he teaches. i just feel like you really learn everything from the book and not him.
20 yrs ago, Mr. Connelly told me that a true genius can talk with kings and truckers with ease and make both feel just as comfortable. I've aspired to it since. He's the best.
Taking a class offered by Professor Connelly will undoubtedly be one of the best decisions made in your academic career. Brilliant and thought provoking is an understatement.
Without a doubt the smartest man ever to walk to face of the earth, he's also really cool and very funny. Simply being in his presence makes me feel like my IQ is going up. He knows everything about everyone who ever lived, and everything that ever happened anywhere. Neither the breadth nor the depth of his knowledge in any field is often matched, and never both.
Only person who ever gave me a grade of "A/F" on a paper. I thoroughly deserved it, and I will never stop being grateful to him for it.
BEST TEACHER!!! KNOWS EVERYTHING!!! and i mena everything!!
Truly the finest educator I've ever met, college and law-school included. A brilliant and wonderful man. A model for us all.
Definitely a funny guy but he's not very helpful in the HRC and hes got an unclear grading system... class with him is either really fun or VERY BORING
Had Connelly over 20 yrs ago. Now hold 3 grad. degrees from finest schools in the country.NEVER had prof. who was better teacher or philosopher-ever.He IS Regis
Mr. Connelly is a great teacher and a cool guy. Smartest teacher at Regis, along with Mr. Cullen.
