Wow, as a former student of Mr. Galli, it's sad to see him no longer at MV. I was his student from 1999-2003, and if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have become the professional musician I am today. He really inspired and instilled discipline in all of us. And we felt proud to be in his audition-only wind ensemble. I hope he comes back from time to time, to give lectures/masterclasses. Those students could really benefit from him.
AAAAWWWW YISSSSS HE'S BACK
At first I didn't know Mr. Galli that well and I just assumed he was like any other regular orchestra teacher. But, he is so supportive and encouraging even though he knows that I suck at the violin. I started to become so passionate and inspired about the violin because of the way he conducted groups, how passionate he was, and the fact that he is so supportive and nice. He really knows how to coordinate the group too. It's sad that he's retiring..he was a really good teacher...
I actually used to be real intimidated of Mr. Galli but when I finally was in his Chamber Orchestra class I discovered he is a really nice teacher. And it amazes me how musically talented this teache
he's very nice and helpful. doesn't get angry very easily. you just need to listen when he gives you (your section) some advice.
Better than Fey. Can get annoyed at people so just don't be annoying and you'll be fine.
He's a great teacher in general. Exceptional when it comes to getting the orchestra to act as a single voice as supposed to the clashing of different instruments.
Really nice guy. Very understanding if you just pay attention in class and don't slouch :)
Best music teacher I've ever had. He recognizes his students' talents, and does a great job of coaching them to develop their talents. He's passionate about his music, too
He's a great music teacher, but can be kind of scary. Very good at helping with technical stuff for playing. Seems to prefer woodwinds though. Even though he's a brass player.
He knows pro. music. The music choice is technical, not good to listen to, but good to play. Say hello to him every day and he will love you xD. Sit up strait, its soo easy. so few ppl, listen
Better than Fey, and pretty nice. However, if you miss one day of anything, getting the points back can be a huge pain. Be punctual and nice and you'll get an A. Sometimes is funny too!
i think he just exaggerates his anger to get us to listen, which i think is a pretty darn effective method. then he smiles all big when we play something right. definitely owns fey.
Really passionate about music =] and is really happy when you're passionate too. A bit too paranoid about articulation though...
the best conductor ever! hes so funny and he might get mad or frusterated sometings but he can always laugh afterwards. you can talk to him like a friend. so laid back!
great guy, but picks real bad music. extremely friendly, into music
Although he is strict, he REALLY knows what he's doing.
i had him for guitar, and even though that class had 60 something students, he still managed to talk to all of us.
not bad... seems kinda mean, but actually is reallie nice... very approachable... and very trusting... but not too trusting...
