The best damn Physics teacher I've ever had. I had him back in 2003, and since then I went to Berkeley Law and decided that wasn't my career path. When I decided that I wanted to go into medicine, every single Bernoili's and Laplace's principle carried me though Cardiology and GI pathology. I literally remember him doing the 'Evil Laugh' when I went through my Cardiology courses. I am a year away from finishing my MD/MPH and I am very grateful to both John and Angie for their service.

Mr. Olivares is a highly active teacher, however at times his jokes may go overboard and can be offensive to students. For example on the very first day of school during class introductions, the teacher asks the students to share something unique about themselves. A classmate announced to the class his personal passionate hobby, but as a response the teacher practically humiliated the student by basically saying that it was useless hobby. Regardless, the teacher certainly knows his stuff.

One of the most laid back teacher I've had. However he isn't the best at teaching clearly. But he does try his best in trying to explain the concepts. Best science course out of all the AP's at Northwood I'd take his class over AP Chem, AP Bio anyday

Excellent teacher. Very knowledgeable, is able to explain every concept clearly and in multiple ways, and is extremely enthusiastic about the material. He is a cartoon character of sorts and tends to pick on a few students per period, but it's all in good fun.

He pretty much knows everything you'll want to know in physics right now. He has a very laid back atmosphere in his class, tells jokes, and socializes like a friend. There's no political correctness in his class, so get used to it. Do the homework. Study for tests. AND DO NOT PROCRASTINATE FOR HIS FINAL, or you'll flunk it. You won't regret taking this course.

he always makes fun of me for being "stupid" even though i'm in ap physics, openly jokes about my bad grades during class and publically humiliates me. i tried very hard in his class and he continues to be rude...not a good teacher at all.

Mr. O is a laid back teacher who jokes around a lot, but he knows his stuff. That being said, if physics doesn't come naturally to you you're gonna be doing a lot of self-studying. It's a great class for students who are naturally adept at math and on the lazy side. Don't get caught up in the laid back atmosphere of his classroom and end up slacking off, cuz there's only so many tests per semester and they count for the majority of your grade. If you understand the material you'll do well.
