He has retired and that is possibly the biggest favor he can do to future students. He attacked me "ad hominem" constantly for my Leftist leanings. An uninspired yet intelligent person.

Probably one of the best history teachers I've had so far. He mad you think, and there wasnt a lot fo notes, it was basically hand outs and listening...in retrospect he was a great teacher.

I remember him as a nice teacher who made me think. He also always made sure I was paying attention. He got my weird teen sense of humor and didn't make me feel small as others did.

Retiring in '07. I think his class was very keen on focusing on self-study which of course we don't like now, but will appriciate for college.

hes extremely passionate towards the US constitution, it would be very interesting to see him in mock trial, he has this talent to slaughter anyone in a debate.

Mr.Sparks is okay, he knows U.S. History and class is sometimes interesting. I know AP is supposed to be hard, but sometimes I feel the things we discuss in class amount for only 10% of what ends up being on the test.He picks on people, but it's funny!

Sparks, is a nice guy, i guess. A.P. is hard, and the test are impossible, AND there is alot of ego stroking in that class. But overall, i like history and i do enjoy his class, i just wish he helped me with the things i don.t understand.

I guess you could say he knows what he's talking about, but the way he talks and gets his points across makes you feel inferior and useless.

Very concerned with his own ego. Gives grades based on the amount of sweet talking done by the student. Also very prejudice.

Such glib and voluble colloquys can only be found at a lecture in a college, or with Mr.Sparks. Excellent teacher so far, a genius of U.S. History.

Mixed feelings. He really knew the subject matter but he just wouldn't shut up. All we did in AP was read a million pgs a night & take impossible tests.

Sparks took me on the model congress trip in 97 (I think), we had so much fun! He is a great, down to earth person. Truly cares about the subject matter.

I had him as a teacher way back in '92. He is a great teacher, and I learned a lot in his class. He inspired me to go on and become a JHS teacher too. Thanks
