I currently have Mr. Vahle and he is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. I am an A+ student but yet in his class I always have absolute no clue what I am doing. When I go to ask questions, he's sarcastic and rude and usually ignores me. I am beyond scared for my regents and am most likely going to have to invest in a tutor. He claims that NY state is always incorrect and refuses to teach by their rules but yet that is what we are going to be tested on. Mr Vahle should not be a teacher.
Excellent teacher. I had him in my Freshman and still go to him for help with my labs. Amazingly knowledgable teacher. Thank you Mr.Vahle
Mr.Vahle was not a good teacher, and is not a good teacher at all and make absolutely no sense once so ever. DO NOT TAKE HIM
Ive gotten him for the past 2 years & if could have done anything to prevent that i would have in a heart beat. He doesn't teach, all he does is talk about this stupid kid billy & how horrible his wife is. He claims he isn't bad and what everyone says is a lie but its true just take a look at kids grades. The only reason i did relatively good on the Bio regents (93) is that i read the review book front to back, something he didnt make us do he only made us do like 5 chapters.RIP if you get him.
I took AP biology freshmen year... worst decision ever. I was confused from the first day. He is impossible to follow. He jumps from one thing to the next with out connecting them. He strays away from topics every few minutes. It turns out that in order to learn anything you have to teach yourself in his class. He never does anything except talk about himself. He will not answer your question unless he wants to, and even then it's a sub par explanation. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES!
After spending a year in AP biology, i have come to the conclusion that Vahle needs to improve his teaching skills. We are mostly freshmen, so this is usually our first AP course but, Vahle believe that we should have already mastered the material before we stepped into the room. At first, i thought it was me that caused my grades to plummet. However, i did study hours before an upcoming test or quiz. My advice is to save your time, save your tears, and take regular biology.
At first when I started his course i didn't enjoy it at all and couldn't understand the material. As the year progressed, I became accustomed to his teaching style and spent more time studying on my own. Because of this I was able to have a fantastic experience, and his course became the one I was most excited for during the day. I love his sense of humor and he is by far the funniest teacher i have ever had. I would retake AP bio in a heartbeat and he is of those people I will never forget.
If you're about to take a class with him know that it's not going to be an extremely difficult challenge. Answer your own questions and do everything on ur own or you'll be left in the dust...
He is a brilliant person. He just gives lectures in class and expects you to have already read the next chapter of the textbook. Keep up with the textbook reading and you'll find the lectures interesting and you'll do great!
He's an awful teacher. Very arrogant. Doesn't seem to care about students or what they're learning. Amuses himself by "comically" ranting from one subject to another, while never getting to the point of the tangent in the first place (because there wasn't one). Overall, don't take the class unless you're willing to waste 40-85 min. a day during class time, then go home and learn everything from a textbook. Oh, yeah. And the review sheets he gives, he never goes over. Or gives the answers to.
cares more about his computer than about his students it seems
He is a nice person, but doesnt know how to teach chem.
