He can do the problems he gives in class, but when given a more difficult variation, he cant to it. He is such a cool teacher though and his tests are so easy.

Get's confused by his own problems and just doesn't know what he's doing. That's okay though because his class is extremely easy and really requires no effort. The real problem is the fact that 5 months into the year not only does he not know my name, he doesn't even know that I'm in his class. Additionally he's the least helpful teacher I've ever had, he took off 4 points on my test because he didn't see the answer and didn't give me any of them back because I didn't box my answer.

It's a love hate relationship. One second he's congratulating me on my "excellent" work, the next second he is leaning backwards groaning at the sight of my hand raised.

He made precalc into one of the easiest classes of junior year. Classes are boring, and most people are on their phones or sleeping the entire period. He gives homework every night and checks it at the beginning of the period, although by the end of the year people get away with not doing it. Tests are easy if you study the night before and know the material. Although he will probably never learn your name and his class is boring, you'd much rather have Waters than Ungar for precalc.

Mr. Waters does make a very difficult class fairly easy, but he does so by not teaching the curriculum, not by making it understandable. You will do fine on the tests during the year and then find yourself totally screwed for the final. If you have him, I would suggest actually learning the course from a tutor, another teacher, or a friend.

Mr. Waters has successfully managed to turn what he calls the "hardest class in the math department" into a total breeze. Classes are boring at times, but as long as you participate, it's fine. Word of advice: early morning test reviews = pure genius

You learn in the class-when you don't fall asleep first. Don't ask questions, because he just rolls his eyes

By the end of the year, the smartest students in the class are telling him how to do the problems. Perhaps he knows the material but he really has no clue as to how to explain it to others.
