Mr. Wetherby was a horrible teacher for my 8th grader. He never actually taught. He'd assign very long homework assignments that he wouldn't correct but if a student left one of the fifty problems blank because he didn't know how to do it, he'd give a zero (as though the student didn't do the assignment at all). And since he gave the homework back without noting which problems were done correctly or not, how would you know you did the problems wrong? Destroyed my child's confidence.
He's not very good with teaching, so try learning from the textbook. If you start falling behind, go to after school tutoring with him. He's an incredible tutor. His tutoring skills are the opposite of his teaching skills, and you'll get back on track.
he was kinda confusing but his tests were super easy if you were following along! i mean he didnt teach much qnd he gave sooooooo much homework but hes pretty nice and his class is easy
Mr. Wetherby is a hard teacher. His lessons move fast and sometimes make no sense. He makes his class fun at times and you understand those lessons but assigns a TON of homework. A great and understanding person but has mood swings.
He is an awful teacher. He ignores kids who need help and are trying to ask questions. He gives way too much homework and if you are absent for long periods of time he won't drop any of the homework which is usually 40+ problems a night. This man should not be teaching. Pray you don't get him
He gives WAYYYYY too much homework!! If he likes you, you're all set!
Go to his extra help afterschool. He is a way better tutor then teacher and it helps a lot.
He doesn't really teach...I pretty much have to teach myself using the textbook...
He wasnt a very good teacher, assigns homework before theyre taught. but hes funny and likes to joke around.
he's a cool guy
He's a pretty funny guy, likeable and likes you back if you speak in his class. But he does this thing where he'll give you homework on the next topic, and you have to look through the textbook for it to explain the concept THEN he'll explain it the next day.
Really smart teacher but he gives a lot of hmwk. Also sometimes when asked a question about hmwk he just explains it from his chair without writing it which, as this is math, makes it hard to figure out. Not always easy but fair tests. He has notebook checks so taking notes is a must.
I was often confused in his class
I like math now. :)
I love his personality and hes a very nice teacher and relates to his students he always goes along with the jokes we make and has a lot of math puns but i really wish he showed his thoughts through his lessons and teaching. hes extremely smart but i think he should bring himself down to 8th grade level. I do all the homework and take notes on everything but cant seem to keep up with him and now am in need of a tutor
He actually isn't that bad, but since we're still on like review if ur failing, then thats just sad.
i dont think he does a very good job at teaching. im always confused in class and he gives us hw that we dont even know how to do. i think he's a good guy in general but not a very great teacher
he wastes the whole class and then gives us homework on a lesson he never taught us!
He's really hard and you have to work for a good grade but I learn a lot. You have to get over his teaching methods, deal with it and just listen. If you have questions, ask them. Plays favorites.
Teaches hard classes decently, though he assigns hw and THEN teaches the lessons. What he does teach goes down well. Relatively nice, offers help.Try REALLY hard and don't pass up ANY extra credit.
He very hard and somewhat unfair. He gives homework on material we haven't learned yet, and then we go over it in class AFTER turning it in so I got a couple of no-credits on homework assignments. He also gives very hard tests on material he says isn't going to be on the test. He finds ways to gives students less that b's in conduct
He gives homework on material we haven't learn which makes it hard. I don't like his whole teaching style, the whole class is left cluless but if you try hard you should do okay.
He can't teach. He doesn't realize that he should change the way he teaches when pretty much the whole honors class is failing.
He needs to seek out the children who need extra help and offer it to them. Having a student teacher in the room is the perfect time for this to occur - unfortunately it does not.
it makes more sense to assign the homework after the material has been taught...otherwise we're all left clueless
Mr. Wetherby is one of the coolest teachers in the school, i didn't do well in his class and I still love him!
if u do the work, ull b fine. hes a nice guy, and will help if u asked
I agree: "smart people get smarter, others sink." I see my classmates falling down around me, but it's all good, I like A's!
Could really do more by actually going over the material before assigning homework. Worst class by far even though he's a nice guy. Congenial, but can't teach.
Really REALLY nice... but dang son, your teaching needs work...
Mr. Wetherby actually tries to help his students! He really cares about the kids and he is really there unline some teachers! He also makes people learn.
ok, you try to be all "cool" but um it doesnt work..but youre an OK teacher..
Astonishing intellect; the most awesome math teacher on the planet!
