Stabes should have a higher rating. He's a nice guy, but at times he can be stern and unforgiving if you mess up. That said, he's a nice guy at heart and a great teacher and coach. Although he doesn't put grades on paper, he's rational and provides good insight.
a good teacher, really intelligent, explains well, is clear in expectations about class. does do class more lecture style than discussion style, but a keeper.
Okay, he is a brilliant dude, and assigns interesting reading, but his class is a little boring. You'll learn a lot, but it's a a boring experience doing it
He teaches a good class, interesting assignments, but he doesn't put grades on papers. While I can see his motivation, it only makes students nervous
While not hostile, he is vague about his expectations in assignments. Class discussions involve him talking 90% of the time. Nice person, but boring teacher.
Stabes is the man, he coaches so well and is always there for the team, u gotta love a guy who runs the boston marathon every year, his love of running is infectious and im glad to have been infected.
I found that many English classes revolved around him just speaking, and speaking, and speaking. Classes at PA are supposed to revolve around discussion, not lectures.
Don't know him as a teacher, but as a coach he is amazing. He is understanding and gives me the support and pressure to run to my fullest potential in track.
Best coach and house counselor ever. He practically has as cult of followers. HOLD!
I havent had him as a teacher, but he is an incredible HC and an all around great guy
He likes to be in the spotlight. It was very hard for the students to express what they felt about a book because he always thought his way was the right way. Also, he never gives you grades for your papers, so you never know how you're doing in the class
