Sorry to know that he is no longer with us. Really made CHS a super place. Certainly wish he was still helping us learn about the library and all of its stuff. Never missed a chance to make us smile and enjoy being inside the place. Always had a history detail to tell about the school or NJ!!!

Sadly just learned that he retired! Mr. Fanning was a person who helped everyone as much as possible. He gave you all of his attention when working just with you (or in a group). When you asked him for help, he often din not 'just give the answer" but made you think about or look it up. Of course, he always was sure you did that with his help. Thus, he never just talked but spoke to help do the best making you learn. Will really miss him very much!

Great one-on-one....not so much so with a class. Ask him about Egypt or mention King Tut

I never liked him. He's helpful, yes, but unable to communicate with students on a non-abasing level. He's also really bad with analogies and lacks any form of an understanding of teenagers.

Wonderful person. Great librarian. While you talk to him, you temporarily become his favorite person.
