Best orch teacher ever <3 WE LOVE YOU MR T
Stutters too much, can't explain concepts clearly.
I LOVE HIM for orchestra, idk about his teaching tho. Really chill and understanding, smart, tells great stories, eccentric. mumbles and disappears a lot but I think he knows what's going on. Amazing person, orchestra is my fave. everyone adores him (if you have him for music app or ap music theory this review doesn't apply) I would be devastated if he ever retired because orchestra wouldn't be the same. btw he likes freshies haha so freshmen don't worry, he's actually so nice if you talk to him
(Music App) He stutters a lot and his voice really does lull you to sleep but he's an extremely nice man and he knows his stuff. His tests also aren't challenging at all so if you go over your notes you should get an easy 90+ on all his tests.
He may not have the best control over the orchestra during class time, but it's a rather large class, and, sadly, most people just do it for the free 98. If you actually try and get to know Mr. Tamosaitis and the other music department teachers over your four years, it's undoubtedly a rewarding experience. He's honestly so adorable and hearing his mumble used to make my day. And with a string bass, this guy has got some skill. :)
His class is lightwork ez 98
he is super sweet and rather adorable :) i love orchestra and he makes it worthwhile.
He's really nice, he's an amazing bass player
he's occasionally spacey but I'm honestly just happy to have met him.
he's friends with yoyo ma btw
He's nice but he has no control over his classes and when he explains things, it's confusing. Also when we ask him and he refuses, he can't articulate and just says "No." Very lenient when you come in late.
He is the sweetest man ever. Take orchestra if you can; it's a very easy class and a free 98 or even free 100 if you are a librarian or something. Also, maybe this is bad advice to give, but if you cut, it's very easy to get away with it. But don't cut!
His class is so boring...all you do is sit there. He doesn't teach anything, and he always looks depressed. HE NEEDS SOME FREAKEN GERATOL!
good guy, good heart. Just needs more control of his classes..
he's so awesome and has a sense of humor that many teachers seem to lack these days
Have him for AP Music Theory. He's very cool about letting us develop at our own pace, and he often tries to incorporate what we learn to real life applications and just plain listening to music.
Orchestra is a guaranteed 95. He's really funny sometimes and makes class pretty fun.
smart guy, likes to be very sarcastic, makes many corny jokes, often goes into long talks about composers/songs/orchestras/his life story before starting rehearsal. also very forgetful, although i think he's just pretending.
okay, all in all, he doesn't care if you come or not. BUT he knows those who try and rewards them with a higher-than-expected average. No one gets lower than a 95, but try getting a worthwhile experience out of orchestra.
He is really easygoing, but sometimes he can be very vague about a lot of subjects. He memorizes a ton of songs and is really smart. Not too many students respect him though.
Tamosaitis gave me a 95 even though i show up everyday! what bull! most of the time i practically CARRY the section because NOBODYS there. sometimes i feel like he doesnt like to conduct.
he's a little spacey but he definitely knows his music
So easy. I could talk for about half the time in my class and not get noticed.
He's a good teacher and is extremely nice. He is much smarter than he looks (he can sometimes look out of it), and his class is very easy.
we don't do anything in the class, and yet orchestra is always my highest average. on some days we just sit around watching mr roger's neighborhood or the price is right.
hes really smart and talented (julliard grad.) i feel like he doesn't get the respect he deserves
One of the top three teachers I had at Stuy. Excellent instructor and great mentor.
best music teacher! probably the pickiest too but that's what makes him the best and greatest =D
He doesn't really teach us (student teachers do that) and he's pretty lazy but I sort of like him, and at least he seems to know what he's doing
Smart, knowledgeable teacher. The class has a very informal atmosphere. Of course, I'm in jazz band, which isnt quite a normal class, so take everyhing I say with a grain of salt
HE IS SO ANNOYING! HE SUBS FOR WINKEL FOR MUSIC APP. VERY OFTEN I HATE HIS VOICE AND HIS FACE!
good teacher, but extremely lenient for USIT he seems to be a slave under Ms.Hall and the department if u kno what i mean
