Shes an alright teacher but shes a homie get her for APES nothing else
Fire her. I had her for Chemistry last year, and I swear she's the worst teacher I've ever had. She literally teaches nothing and just shows videos. I really felt like the guy from the videos was more of my teacher than she was. I guess maybe the labs were okay, but simulation labs? COME ON!!! The tests, don't get me started. She never said what'd be on the test.
TL;DR The only learning you get is from reading the text book. If you want to know what'll be on the test, then too bad.
I love Joyce. I'm taking AP environmental science right now and it's a great class! There's barely any work. I don't read the book and still get B's on the tests. Also, tests aren't a big part of our grade so I still have an A! She's a really cool person and if she likes you you'll really enjoy her class.
Read the book or you will fail, ignore whatever she says because it is all useless information. All of the points are on the tests, JUST READ THE TEXTBOOK and do well on the test and you will pass.
She's a nice person and is very smart, but lazy when it comes to teaching. We do computer simulations without having learned the subject- basically relying on Google searches to teach the topics to ourselves. We were doing a simulation, and I looked at her computer because she had her ear buds in, and she was watching cat videos on YouTube. The final isn't even about material covered in class, she said no one has ever passed it so she curves the test a lot.
So pretty much she is a very smart lady, but when it comes to teaching and helping, lets face it, she doesnt know whats going on, she is lazy, and her lectures dont help one bit. And when it comes to the test, most of the kids get 'D' or 'C' so she curves it so much to make it seem they get good grade. But really if all the students do horrible shouldnt she realize that its she teaching skills.
Ms. Dibble is much better than most seem to think. Her lectures can sometimes be boring, though if you want to learn chemistry and do well on the tests, then definitely pay attention and read the book. She is always willing to help and answer questions. She covers more material during the year than Mr. Montbriand, so having her as a teacher can be beneficial if you are trying to get into AP Chem.
I love Mrs. Dibble. Had her for chemistry. She is one of the nicest teacher I know and her class is easy and not stressful which is a good thing. Unlike most other teachers, she's really relaxed... both with her grading, her homework policies, and her classroom policies. Honestly, I wish there were more teachers like her, as she permits you to learn at your own pace without a stressful workload. Those who give her low ratingsjust don't want to learn and don't care about science. Sigh, it's unfortunate.
overall, she doesnt even teach... just do the online assignment things and turn in your bathroom passes.
She doesn't really teach, she tells you to do something and if you ask for help she tells you to read these little green books. Plus these green books we don't get to use out side of class so you do it in class or fail. But she is easy becusae she never checks your work so you could write something random and she'd give you 100% but thats only on notes and workbook on labs she runs through it but tests she is stricked. but shes not the worse teacher i had so shes ok.
Not that bad of a teacher. Covers a lot of material. Learned quite a bit from her class even though her lectures were somewhat bleh. And you guys who give her a low rating can't get a decent grade (e.g. an A) in her class are clearly idiots. Learning in that class is very easy with or without lectures. Easiest class.
Eh, her class is an easy 'A'. But she needs to loosen up a bit. Also, she spaces out a lot. Her class will be very boring unless you have friends there. Don't even bother paying attention to the boring, monotonous lectures/movies/whatever, just read the textbook if you want to learn chemistry and get an A in her class.
She teaches a do-able class if you get used to her style of teaching you can definitely get As if you tried. Not a teacher to learn from. Learn from Mr. Montbriand if you want to learn chem
i think that she is one of the nicest teachers!. she's laid back, accepts late work like no other teacher! she's really cool
She is funny, laid back and nice, but not so great at teaching. She does one powerpoint on a chapter and then you have to learn the rest yourself. Its a tough class.
she's a nice person but not the best teacher. you'll learn more about computers than any chemistry in her class. which would not be too bad except her tests are very difficult.
Seriously, I didn't even know how to do anything and had to retake the class in summer school, wasting my whole summer studying the stuff. She is such a terrible teacher, it's kind of sad.
I have her for computers. She seems really nice and all but she dosent have any clue. when i ask for help she dosent know how to do it. I dont think she should be teahing computers
i love mrs. dibble....she is the funniest teacher you will ever have...you just have to know how to talk to her...she's a really funny person and i love her again
god help you if you take this class. YOU WON'T LEARN ANYTHING! she can't teach and her answer to every question is "because that's how we do it in chemistry!" or "you've already learned about that! read the book!" instead of learning, you will make a website on "Think.com" and do some nice powerpoints. what a waste of my time!!!
i am supposed to be learning about chemistry but i learned more in 7th grade... her classroom is really dirty too... spiders
Dibble is a little spacy and never answers questions, but she grades really easy
Terrible, havent learned anything, and passing... THIS TEACHER CANNOT TEACH. She is nice to her kids but dosent help anyone!!!!
very nice person...shes sweet and funny sometimes, but shes a horrible teacher! i assure u that she will not teach u a thing!
one year with her and I didn't learn one thing. not one.
getting an easy A was good but not having learned anything will be bad when i take chem in college.
it's a chemistry class and I didn't learn how to balance an equation. Instead I learned how to make a web page and power points.
Mrs. Dibble never started teaching, we were just her lab rats so she could get her degree in computers!!
dibble gave up teaching and suddenly cares if anyone talks? and the movies with the annoying guy who thinks the world is going to end? dibble needs to teach
wow. where do i start? Doesn't teach as thing. Only stuff she does is assign book work during class and go on her computer.
Sometimes I think she doesn't know what she's talking about, and it would be nice if we knew when the tests were!
Doesn't understand the material she teaches. Never explains anything in a manner that the student will understand. Very unclear instructions.
she never explains anyhting and doesn't say the homework or tell you when tests are!
You silly geese, this class is simple, I have an A+ and I don't even try hard.
Yeh she is cool but theres too many life on earth movies when can we watch a real movie?
She gets her test out of the chem book review sections and lets you use a notecard, uh...duh.
SO EASY! I got an A+ :)! She knows her stuff, and when she actually gets up there and teaches, she is good. The whole color coded classroom is annoying tho.
She is so nice!!! She is very helpful too! Great teacher!
Mrs. Dibble's pretty funny!! Shes cool when you get her to loosen up
Doesn't lecture much, but it's easy to get a B (hard to get an A)
