She will be like your mother at school rather than the chem teacher. I was her AP student this year and found this class really challenging. You will get limitless number of homework so you better be prepared. You will sometimes find yourself being frustrated cuz other kids may have higher average than you. But dww always ask for help and self stidy then you will ave with 5 on Ap exam and easy 800 SAT. Good luck to all and have fun!!!!
My review from last time is under.
Even today may have been a bad day for me today in her class, I still have to say that she is a very inspiring teacher. I may not necessarily be amazing at Chemistry ( my strongest science is Earth Science), I have to say that she manages to shown radiance with her amazing passion.
I always feel bad when I end up being stuck in traffic, but I'm glad that I have her amazing words written down.
People may criticize her in the lab, but she's the most prepared Chemistry teacher in the school. As an Honors teacher, she will push you hard to make sure you understand Chemistry, and her notes are clear. What she teaches does appear on the PSAT and SAT. She's very enthusiastic when it comes to Chemistry, and she sees her textbook as her Bible. She brings her analogies in the classroom, and her aura outside the classroom
She seems very intimidating at first, but she is actually a very kind person. She cares about her students A LOT. If you don't have a good grade in her class, she really encourages you to do your best. She is often slower at teaching compared to the other teachers, but it's because she teaches more. She may yell a lot and get frustrated easily to those who are below average. And homework is the MOST IMPORTANT.
Students grade exams, but she checks over them. I know because I used to doit
As someone has mentioned, Kim is nice outside of class but she doesn't know how to organize her own work and that causes the classes she teach to become quite confused. I've dealt with quite a number of not-so-good teachers and Kim's personality can be so confusing that idk how to feel about her. Overall, I wish I had a diff teacher.
She is pretty good lab teacher, she explains everything in the beginning of class. But she tends to be late and leaves class late will lots of unfinished lab papers. She get's pissed if you tend to get her labs incomplete or unsatisfactory a lot. In the beginning of the year, be prepared to get butchered. Later on, it's gets more chill (as long as you don't have a bad reputation), she doesn't grade you strictly much. She scans your paper to make sure you have the essentials, and that's it.
In my experience, I've learned that Kim is a very great person, but a very bad teacher when it comes to slow learners. Often times there is no point in asking questions, as she begins to complain and state, "But this is so simple", great teacher if you learn at a fast pace, but Kim makes Chemistry be learned so that you only know Chemistry, not understand it.
horrible. lets not get started on how much she yells and favorites people.
Her class wasn't easy at all , but she pushes you if you don't get above an 80. She was crazy but I loved her.
she is horrible lab teacher she scrutinizes ur lab and she is schizophrenic wish i could get out.
She's not that great. She lets students grade exams, so that she does less work. Can you believe that students graded your mid-term and final exam? And she even has many babies on the side so that she could use pregnancy as an excuse not to teach. Someone has to teach her to use contraception.
The most loving and caring person in Francis Lewis High School
I love Ms Kim. She's one of the best teacher I've ever had. She got awesome notes, and she explained things so vividly with her own made up stories. Lucky that I had her as my teacher!!!!
I had her for like two weeks then was transferred. I tried everything I could to get back into her class but I couldn't due to equalization. She is GREAT teacher and she is a lovely, kind person. She
In my opinion Ms. Kim is an excellent teacher. She knows what she's doing and teaches the information in an orderly fashion. She does raise her voice at times, but I think it's because she is so in to
She is really annoying as a person and has mood swings in the middle of class and her tone changes from low to high like every 30 seconds as if she has a timer, she teaches at a very fast pace and exp
She's an okay teacher. Her tests are straight-forward, but she teaches too fast, gives too much homework, and expects way too much out of the students.
cares for all her students but she slows down the class to get the unmotivated kids to learn. bad for the kids who learn fast
great teacher. motivates you alot, but will leave the dumb kids in the dust and focus on the ones who are doing well. needs to pay more attention to everyone. teaches too fast, and takes a personal gr
pretty good chem teacher. needs to stop complaining though
u will be late and her tests are hard but in the end a very good teacher....talks alot but cares about each person like there her own children
she yells, she spends alot of time after the bell fine buttttt. she will push and pull for you and care for you in ways no other teacher will. shes a sweetheart. and has the students interest in heart
It shows that Mrs. Kim genuinely cares about her students. From listening to her speak you can tell that she is interested in chemistry and wouldn't mind spending her whole life talking about it. She's always willing to offer extra help or tutoring when a student needs it. She makes sure that everyone understands her even if it means moving at a slower pace. She also applies what we learn in class to the world around us, to make it easier to remember.
Great lecture teacher. If you have her as a Lab teacher, then GOOD LUCK.
She rushs a lot gives very little time for quizes and is very demandingShe keeps writing notes after the bellHowever she will help you if you havè trouble good teacher overal btw her tests are easy :)
I didn't like her attitude. She goes way to fast while teaching. Though i should say that she is a dedicated teacher.
give out great review notes (she wrote them herself)!!! BUT,, kinda yells a lot too lol
I think she's the best teacher ever. Her notes r wonderful, her tests r usually easy and they come from the review book and participation really counts in her class.
gives u the grade u deserve but is very intimidatin. was always afraid of makin a mistake or sayin i dont know. sumtimes she's mean, sumtimes she'll bring food for the whole class.
easily furstrated but a great teacher, awesome lecture with all those weird stories to tell n they ar all attach to chem! love her although her class were hard. AWESOME TEACHER
very nice teacher has a great way of teaching couldnt have a better chem yr luv her stories luv her she's very helpful nd understands u very much
Ms. Kim is very passionate about teaching, though sometimes I feel shez a little too passionate. But shez a good teacher and goes out of her way to help students
Rude is the perfect word to sum her up. She yells almost everyday. She goes too fast and in her class you can never relax, its like you're on pins and needles.
mrs.kim- shes the best teacher ever- i was so happy when i found outi was going to have her again! i love her stories!!! lol and i love her!!!!
she teaches really well and her review notes are 100 percent helpful. a sweet lady and doesn't judge you based on your grade. she moved me to honor class!!
very cool teacher made me stay awake in chem, very eazy
i'm glad to had her. also Congrads to her new bor child
She rules. Best chem teacher ever. I want you back mrs Kim!!! Good luck with your new baby
Good and kindhearted. She is a very sweet lady and a good teacher.
She is very mean teacher. She is not nice. She say to the whole classroom I am the queen . She is rude.
