I agree with his testing methods-1 page written essay. I believe he quoted Albert Einstein - "If you can't explain it simply, you don't know it well enough."

The lessons are dry and can be unstimulating, but the teacher is competent. Really does want you to succeed.

I like how Mr. Kittler inspires his students. Re tests: essay tests are better than scantron tests; essays give students writing practice & better prep for college.

Yeah, the essays are kinda lame. Not bad but a scantron could be better. My desicion would depend on the type of multiple choice questions and how many.

Kittler you gotta keep the essay tests. The information actually gets stuck in my head because once finished writing an essay, all the information is stuck in the long-term memory

As a parent I find Mr. Kittler is doing a fine job of preparing my child for a higher level education. Isn't that what high school is for? No scan trons.

Kittler teaches the way things will be taught in college. Lecture, Book, Paper. There are no scan tron tests in college! The essay tests teach us govt and good college habits.

With essay tests I understand the big idea rather than just memorizing the random miniscule details that you have to know for scantron tests. Please keep the speech as the final.

I prefer essay tests. They are infinitely better than Scantron tests because it's hard to learn from multiple choice, but in an essay you have to know the information.

Need more clarity about what should be on the test (new online notes?) Tests should be less on what minute details are missing, and more on if an overall understanding is achieved.

Keep the essay tests and the speech. This is the first history class that I learn in. I actually remember things from past units. Please keep them, at least for the juniors.

He is a great teacher! I looove his essay tests and especially the speeches that only come twice a semester. The speeches help me a lot with public speaking.

Kittler is direct, intelligent and old fashion..His essay tests allow students to comprehend a topic rather than simply memorizing, or remembering random facts, (ie:scantron).

Mr. Kittler is the best teacher. You have to get to know him and understand him, he makes you want to do well in his class. I think if he read the rough drafts it would help.
