I found his class quite difficult. He does drill the ap subjects into his students, yet he does not allow the students to express their own ideas. What Mr.Toy thinks is right, is right. Outside of class he is a very kind and welcoming teacher, yet he is strict and bias during class.

Mr. Toy's class, to be honest, is ridiculous. Chapters upon chapters of reading all to have some test that usually costs more than 50 points, and because he chooses to clump up reading when other teachers assign things, you'll usually end up missing 2-3 pops, which will end up getting you a U for that grading period. The only reason you should try to stick with him is because of the stellar AP scores you'll achieve, but his course is still pretty awful.

I do not understand why people do not like Mr. Toy. He is not difficult, at all. Most sophomores, by the end of the first semester, agree that Mr. Maine's Physics classes tend to be more demanding that Mr. Toy's class. Mr. Toy is a very methodical teacher. Respect him, follow his rules, don't pick up the stapler, don't be a fool, and give A answers. It is not hard. There have been plenty of A's in his class in the past few years. He's a generous teacher who has no time for bullshit.

He's a great teacher, but his expectations are extremely high. He expects you to read and memorize the chapter (~ 30 pages) in 1 1/2 to 2 hours. His pops (I mean... "Reading Essays") and tests are harshly graded. However, he prepares his students for the AP very well (almost a guaranteed 5). Other than his strict history teacher-"ness", he is an enjoyable and a funny man who absolutely ADORES Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. :D
