Man, I'm a slacker that graduated from high school quite a few years ago. I had her for Calc and Pre-Cal and now I wish I had tried in her class! She's strict but it's for YOUR benefit. She wants everyone to learn and will drill in the material into your head. She spends hours on her Powerpoints and at HW Corrections. I managed to get a good grade based on pure cramming and lucky guesses but I regret not actually trying and learning. If you have her now, appreciate her!

Mrs. Harrington is the best, if not one of the best Math teachers I've ever had. She genuinely cares about the success of her students, so of course if you slack off she will be on your case. But only with good intentions in mind. Some students view her as strict, but that's only because she doesn't tolerate immaturity and ignorance when it comes to education. Her classes are quiet so that everyone has an equal opportunity to learn the subject.

Good teacher. Very strict but for your own benefit. You actually learn and don't waste any classtime. Glad to be her student

Ms Harrington is a good teacher, and is able to explain the material well, but she is simply too controlling and treats her students like they are little children. If you do not do her homework you will fail the class.

Amongst the best teachers at AHS, and it makes me sad knowing she's going to retire soon! I loved her class; I'm not even good at math yet did very well. She's a sweet woman and genuinely cares about her student's success. Her class does have a lot of structure and she's very strict, but keep in mind it's for YOUR benefit. I highly recommend her, but don't bother if you aren't prepared to do work.

Not going to lie, one of the hardest and strictest math teachers I've ever had. Although her class can be a pain, she makes you learn. She really is a sweet woman outside of class. She genuinely cares about her students and spends hours preparing for a lecture or practice test. She works hard for her students and expects the same in return, thats all it is. Probably one of the best teachers we have at Alameda High.

I had her last year for pre calculus, at first I did not do great due to lack of attendance at school because of medical health. So i got an F first semester in math. Then during second semester she was teling the kids who were doing poorly in her class to go back to algebra 2, but with me, she told me that if i did great second semester she would go back and change my first semester grade to a D, so i wouldn't have to retake it. And in the end, I pass with an A second semester and a D first.

BEST TEACHER! I had Mrs.Harrington for 2 years. Her classes are really hard and you get assigned alot of work. However, She is an excellent teacher and wants all of her students to succeed. She spends alot of time helping students and has tutoring every week! She is strict, and you have to be quiet and attentive in class, but that really helps get the information across. She is amazing and one of the best teachers at AHS.

A lot of people dislike her because she's very controlling and systematic, however, without that I highly doubt that people would pass calculus or even pre-cal. She's one of the best math teachers at AHS. I've had her and she's given me a strong foundation of notetaking and organization. She's honestly, the best. She's tough. If you can't play the game you're in trouble, but isn't that the same with every teacher?

I had Ms. Harrington last year for calculus. In her class you WILL learn the importance of homework since each and every homework counts! So no slacking off, or you'll pay the consequences in a lower grade. Now that I'm a freshman in college, I think Ms. Harrington is an even better educator in calculus than my current professor. She is very clear in her powerpoints and while you may dread going to her for homework corrections, that's when you truly learn the subject and fix your mistakes.

She is one of the best teachers as to teaching. But VERY strict. So if your a slacker, take someone else, If you wanna learn den take her. If your grade get low, she'll be on your case daily to bring it up, so watch out!

Her system treats students like children with binder checks and daily hw correcting. Hw can be a valuable learning tool, but correcting it for content daily is ridiculous in my opinion. Time would be better spent going over a few choice problems in class or letting people ask questions. I felt stifled in her class, I prefer a more flexible environment, so I probably should have taken AP. Oh well. For those who like a lot of structure, you will like this class.

I love her very much. She's so cool, very organized. She loves hardworking students. Don't have personal conversations in class. Do your homework. Even if you are not good in math, but if you follow her instructions and do as she says, you'd walk out of class with a B. :)

Obviously a really dedicated teacher. She's amazing at getting the point across. I never understood math at all before her, and she's the reason why I'm taking pre-cal this year. She is strict, and not immune to public humiliation, but you'll definitely learn in her class. period.
