I was a straight A student until i met Ms. Lin. Enough said
ok, first off, ms. lin is my favorite teacher. she's so sweet, teaches amazingly and doesn't play favorites. she has a slight sense of humor and will answer all your questions, no matter how dumb they are. HOWEVER, it is hard. i mean it. you might think you're good at math but this class will wreck your gpa. her tests are super hard to finish, but she does curve a bit. good luck!
Ms. Lin is an amazing teacher. Though she is very quiet and her tests are difficult, she teaches very well and helps people clearly understand math.
Ms. Lin is one of the coolest teachers!!! :) I had her for Algebra 2 and Trig. I guess I did OK in her class. Her test aren't that bad but their not something you can breeze through either. She only uses textbook for HW and rarely if ever in teaching. She speaks very quietly so when she is speaking, shut up so that you can hear. According to me, she explains concepts very clearly; however, according to other people, they do not understand the lesson. Basically, Ms. Lin is awesome.
strict class but learn a lot
DEAR GOD SHE IS SO FRIKEN HARD. But I still love her because she's actually a really nice teacher.
Ms. Lin is a great teacher, however her tests are unreasonable. They are on a strict time constraint and she gives very little room to do rather long and tedious problems. She doesn't allow scratch paper and it can hinder one's ability to do well.
If you love math, you will love the class. She lectures very quietly, and is difficult to keep up with. She is not an assertive teacher, although she knows her information very well. The one thing she dislikes the most is if you miss her class very often. That being said, when you're learning Ch. 7 and you go back to review Ch 1, everything is suddenly very, very easy. Her grading is very fair; the class is curved (but not the multiple-choice). Group tests can either make or break your grade.
miss lin is very nice and a good teacher but she can be very difficult at times. i have her for alg2/trig honors and she is very good in teaching
I'll say it for future students. Mrs. Lin is hard in every possible way, but she can teach. I ended dropping out of her class due to failing but i found that my classes were easy becuase i renembered
I HATED this class. im good at math, but i did bad in this class. i got some tutoring, and they said that i didnt need it, because i should be getting an a. its that hard. plus she is mean. like, real
she's not exacty the warmest person on the earth, but she knows how to teach very well. she gets to the point and knows what she's doing.
Lin is the best math teacher i've ever had. Although she talks rather quietly and uses sucky markers she explains really well. Her tests can be hard but if you do the review sheets and practice test t
Excellent teacher. Clear at explaining everything. But too many pop quizzes. Although her tests are super tough, she does curve them. She prepares you really for the AP Calc test. :)
Miss Lin is the sweetest teacher ever! She's amazing at explaining the content, but her tests are incredibly hard. Only take her class if you really love math.
Look. You learn A LOT, and she's very clear. Cares about students. But if you need an A for your transcript, my advice is stay away.
Ms. Lin is a really good teacher. She's very good at teaching, and the tests are challenging, but fun. Also, almost no time is wasted in class.
I love ms lin.Her frigging tests are so hard but if you study everyday and do the hard problems in the book you can do well. A C in her class means an A in Willer's class
Shes a good teacher, but if you don't keep up during lectures (cause she goes fast) its kinda hard. Also, her tests contain info not mentioned in the book and SUPER HARD!
She is a great teacher and she knows all her material.
Challenging ... but very rewarding ... very good at what she does
Her class is easy and she's really good at teaching. Best math teacher at IHS. :)
Amazing teacher; even if her class is hard, you actually learn. Also has a hidden sense of humor and is generally the most effective and reliable teacher in school.
she's an awesome teacher; had her for both CALC BC and geo honors and i Learned soooo much!!!! :P
A really nice and cool teacher. A GOOOOOOOOD Teacher!
I love ms lin. Best teacher ever, had her for geometry and she teally teaches you well! her tests are hard, but if you study they should be fine. also if you have any problems, go to her advisory and she will help you.
she is one of my fav. teacher in IHS!i had her for freshmen yr and sophomore year. lookin forward to be her student next year. make sure you do her review sheets before tests and pay attention in class. she is really nice. just go bug her when u get questions :P. she will help you even u ask her last min questions in lunch time. great teacher.
Her way of runing her classroom is good, but I hate her group tests and her nomal tests are rlly hard too... but i think she's a pretty good teacher overall...
Great teacher, but it is too difficult to get a good grade in the class.
I had Ms. Lin at Irvington about eight years ago for geometry and pre cal and she was one of my favorite teachers. She knows her math and she knows her teaching. Thanks Ms. Lin!
Ms. Lin gives you the tools to be successful in her hard class. She is one of the best teachers in the school!
she is a good teacher though... but its shoooo hard to raise grade in her classss!!
she was the best math teahcer i ever had !!! she is helpful and really knows her stuff
clear but hard and is like a wreaking bal to my grades
Lin has to be the best math teacher i have ever had. AFter listening to her i fully understood concepts. She really played havoc with my GPA, but i learned tons
She's one of the best teacher's I've ever had. She's always there to help and her class actually challenges us to work hard. She's an A++ teacher!! :)
really hard second half of yr for alg2/trig hons isnt fun but cool as in lets anything happen in class
She's a good teacher.. but a very hard one. However she teaches very well. Good, but hard teacher!
Group tests returned after the test? Doesn't it kinda defeat the purpose of group tests?
Good teacher, she even took time after school to teach us Calc BC. However, difficult to persuade on conflicts and doesn't count AP score...
