Ms. Russell is one of the sweetest teachers I have ever met. She's so nice and although she grades harshly on essays I truly believe she is one of the best English teachers I've had. Definitely would have her next year if I could!

Ms. Russell is a lovely woman and usually a very good teacher who is knowledgeable about her subject and cares about her students. Her guidelines can be very confusing, the same goes for her rubrics, so you have to pay attention in class. Other than that I would definitely recommend her as a teacher.

Ms. Russell was a wonderful teacher and is so sweet. Her tests overall were not too hard. There was only one test that I did bad on but most of the class did terrible on it too so we all got to retake it thankfully. My essay grades were not that good though because he has high expectations on essays. Besides that her class is really easy.

She is nice as a teacher. But person-wise, she has a very bad personality. She often talks behind the students back with other teachers. I truly believe as a teacher, she shouldn't share a student's personal issues with other teachers. Her actions are very unprofessional as a teacher.

Ms. Russell is outstanding. Last year I consistently looked forward to her class. Tough on the essays, and perhaps a bit over-scrutinizing with the interpretations of the text, but she is such a genuinely nice person. Also, the class as a whole will bond over the course of the year-o ne of the best times I've ever had learning. Also you'll spend so much time analyzing that you'll only get through 3ish books over the course of the year, and maybe 2 essays, but she makes them count. She's awesome.

Ms. Russell is a good teacher, class is pretty relaxed overall, but essays are impossible. Go talk to her about your essay even if you think it's good. No one gets above an A- on the first couple essays. She does tend to overanalyze things and find obscure meaning in the most insignificant things, but she's an overall nice person and she'll like you if you genuinely try. Probably the best out of the honors soph. english teachers this school usually has.

Ms. Russell is a wonderful teacher, always there to support you and help you grow, even when you thought you didn't have anything else to learn. Her essays may be hard, but she grades them fairly and always has a legitimate justification. If you work hard and try your best (and participate in class discussion so she gets to know your thoughts), you'll have a great year in English. Also, it's always fun to go over literature with her– you always find something new!
