she's one of my favorite teachers. had her four years in a row, Yes she yells but she does it for the good of the production and safety of the students. She's a hard one but once you warm up to her she's so worth it

I was in stagecraft (before she taught it) so she wasn't even my teacher. She yelled at me for using the wrong color duck tape to secure a cable she wanted taped so that nobody tripped! When I told her we were out of the color tape, she said to remove the tape I put down and she'd get more blk tape. She nvr brought me the tape and 1 week later a kid trips and I get yelled at because I was told to remove the gray tape and wait for the black tape that she never brought me.
Just an angry person!!

At times Miss Karr can be nice but most of the time she is grumpy. I took her stagecraft class and she was very good at assigning the appropriate assignments and projects for us to do. She is a reasonable person at times but she yells at people a lot, most of the times for the slightest reasons.

Casting for her shows is kind of hopless for students. She is a good teacher and although most people are affraid of her, but if you hang in there for advanced drama, which I highly reccomend, you will see the awesome side of her. Back to the casting of the shows. Basically, if your family knows Ms. Karr and you sing decently, then you are going to be the lead in all of the play. Just to be honest... once you get cast as an ensemble member, most likely you will stay as an ensemble member.

Her knowledge of theatre is limited to her own experiences. She has a problem communicating with students because of her condescenion. Casting for her shows is always rigged for students she favors.
