for geometry I actually really liked her projects. It helped understang how some of the shapes were used and were awesome grade boosters because they were usually easy 100 test grades. But the notecards were horrible! In Stats though, there were no notecards and i actually like her then...
I cannot say that I have encountered a more ineffectual learning environment than the one provided by Kathy Tipton. The tedium is unsurpassed, and her rancid breath prevents any in-depth one-on-one d
I switched to Tipton and don't regret that choice at all. Good teacher, open to help and clarifying if needed and the notecards are good. Though she looks for details that's what to expect in college!
Statistics was the most boring class I've ever taken in my life. I felt like clawing my eyes out. She goes over EVERY SINGLE problem on the homework, despite the fact that no one cares or pays attenti
definately not my favorite teacher. i hated 300 note cards, wall of the top 15, and PPS everyday. but i learned a lot more than i thought, i went from 70s to 100s by the end of the year.
Actually a good teacher...She knows how to teach and gives plenty of extra credit chances
Geometry is about rules and order -- that's how Tipton teaches it. You're going to run into college profs who take off points for detail...you might as well get used to it now.
please retire. stupidest projects i've ever done. i thought i took math not art.
I learned geometry in her class. Her projects had nothing ot do with math, more like non-math related art projects. You take notes on notecards and they get old pretty fast.Oh, and she chooses random days to take up the homework and grade it. It makes you feel good if you actually did do the homework though. SHe posts the students with the top 15 averages in her class. It's very embarassing.
Good teacher, except for the hundreds of notecards and 1st grader projects.
I think shes a very good geometry teacher and a very helpful person, and I think she recieves way too much trash for her personal beliefs. She always helps, but she likes busywork
Shes a great teacher, except for mindless projects, and everyone would learn if they would listen while taking notes, and saw her in the mornings for help.
Be prepared for daily busy work. Im not sure she knows how to teach. She got notecards somewhere, and she makes you copy down almost 300 notecards, she has you look at your notecards if you have questions
Mixed feelinger here, I payed attention and got straight A's and by no means and I great student. However I dont agree with some of her methods.
She's very unclear, constantly changes what she says during lessons, doesn't cover some topics on tests, takes too long explaining things.
We must take notes exactly like hers and we get graded on them. Are projects are like those we did in elementary school. She cares about doing things her way.
Was not very helpful to me. Not an awful teacher, but certainly not the best i've ever had. Gave me bad grades for not being able to color. not cool..
doesnt have the slightest clue how to teach and fixates on notecards and her "PPS'"
