Graduated RHS 20 years ago and will still think of her "No no words" list when writing essays. Excellent, brilliant, professional educator. If you are lucky enough to be one of her students, pay attention.
Ms Wassall is defintely an interesting teacher. She is funny and the class isn't too boring for an english class. Not the easiest but not the hardest. Picks favorite and not a fan of kids that joke around. Was apart of her worst class she's probably ever teached (in terms of joking around, she even said it was difficult to deal with) which probably made it more fun, but still not bad
Ms. Wassall is like the kind of teacher you see in movies-- movies like "Dead Poets Society". She is in a league of her own. By far the finest teacher at RHS. She meets with every student privately (30 min. sessions) for every formal paper, and that does not go unappreciated. I currently have her for AP English Language & Composition and already feel my writing has improved so much. She conducts class as a seminar and everyone's voice is heard. God bless her!
I was expecting to love this class since a lot of good things were said about her, but she is one of my least favorite teachers this year. She is funny and easygoing, but I've noticed that she clearly picks favorites. Tips to become a favorite: be super outgoing and bubbly and show up everyday, I'm sure she will consider you then.
One of the best teachers at Ridgefield High School - if not the best. Ms Wassall not only brilliantly teaches American Literature (among other subjects) but she is largely responsible for preparing he
Not an easy grader, but she really wants to help you improve. She met with us on every formal paper, and having her explain problems with my writing to me helped a lot. Very funny woman, her class was
I graduated from RHS in 1979 and Ms Wassall was fantastic. She and Ms BU were two of the best teachers I have ever had, including my professors in college, She was smart and funny and everyone loved h
Her class is not easy, but you DO learn something useful, so it's worth it. Best writing teacher I've ever had - - in a league of her own.
Without a doubt the most caring and intelligent teacher I have had. She is fair and always willing to help.
This is one of the best classes I took. We were treated as adults; we were allowed to explore literarure and writing and as a result grew enormously; she was helpful and supportive.
One of my favorites; work was hard but so worth it. Best writing teacher ever.
One of the best teachers I've ever had. I actually feel honored to be in her class and meet with her about my papers. She makes you work hard but very worth it.
her class was incredibly useful as a developing writer. she is an amazing teacher, im definitely having her write my college recommendation
Listen to everything she says, because it will help you somewhere down the road. Great teacher, great class
If she likes you, this class is a breeze (as long as you do the work). She's the nicest lady, and understands how busy high schoolers can get.
I'm taking this class along with APUSH, and its been great so far. Mrs. Wassall by far one of the best teachers I've ever had, and I highly recommend the class
Ms. Wassall is an incredible teacher. I learned a ton in her class. Unfortunately, she doesn't give much leeway when it comes to homework and classwork.
One of the toughest teachers I had at RHS, but wow did she teach me how to write! Also, her vocab words were the best - corybantic is still my favorite one.
Nice teacher, but I hate AP English. I wish I had her for a different class. Helps you out a lot at conferences.
She loves everyone, even if they don't deserve it. The class is demanding and she expects you to take responsibility for the work. Research projects must die.
This is the best class in the entire school, and the best teacher - she genuinely cares.
She's the smartest teacher at RHS. So worth taking the class if you can.
