I had Mrs. Klahn for freshman year Honors French. She was very nice and an easy teacher, but her French is just so awful. Her accent is literally the equivalent to a 6th grader that just started learning French. When the exchange students came to one of our classes, my exchange student for the day literally whispered to me that Mrs. Klahn had the most stereotypical American accent ever. Perhaps Mr. Field or Mr. Bertke could teach French 2 Honors instead.
I had her for french, so maybe I would've liked her better if I had her for English. She seemed pretty nice at first, although her accent in french is terrible. She really does not seem to know much about french, and frequently makes mistakes when she is speaking to the class. She is also extremely condescending, and she plays favorites. If you happen to be on her good side, you'll get an A in french without any problem. However, if you get on her bad side, drop out quick.
Mrs Klahn is an amazing teacher. She always had smile on her face, and she never got mad or yelled a single time the entire year. She is super sweet and is a great person to talk to. She is not a very hard grader and she teaches French very well. She makes it so we can really understand, and I always left class feeling like I was a better French speaker. We did activities in class that were fun and helped us learn the material. Mrs Klahn is a great teacher and an all around great person.
Although she does talk to her students as if they are 5, she is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She is very passionate about french and she teaches it very well. She makes things clear and easy to understand, and she is a fun person to be around in class. She knows how to incorporate fun things into the class while still learning and improving the students french. She is a very knowledgable and amazing person, and she was absolutely my favorite teacher this year.
She couldnt be better! Every blue day after her class i actually feel like i learned something, cuz every class is full of french and vocabulary, though i do sometimes feel a little bored but she is one of the best teachers ever!!!
She is an absolutely amazing french teacher. She is so sweet and helpful and her class is so much fun. Definately my favorite teacher. Absolutely love her.
Have her for Honors French! She is very nice and smiles a lot! Don't get on her bad side though. There's a kid in my class (name confidential) that is on her bad side, and she hates him but only because he doesn't put in effort! Great teacher.
Mrs. Klahn was an OK teacher at best for Honors English. She has an annoying voice, is very snobby, and makes sure to always be the smartest person in the room, I hope you see this Mrs. Klahn.
The only problem I had with Mrs. Klahn would have to be her essays and the fact that if you don't have a "so what?", your essay could drop by a whole letter grade. She is a tough grader on written assignments. Other than that, the class was very easy. She gives quizzes on nearly every reading assignment during the book units, so make sure to read the sections carefully. I freaked out whenever we had a speech assigned, but I never received less than a 95% on any of them.
I had her for freshman honors English. She will be strict the first two weeks or so, but don't let that throw you. She's just laying down the rules and becomes very pleasant and agreeable once she knows you. She knows all our books inside and out and I learned a lot from her. Instructions on papers can be unclear so make sure to email her about assignments when you can, because you're not allowed on the final essay.
After having her for a few days for freshman english I wanted to drop out of her class. I feared the class was going to be too easy and that she was going to be irritating. I'm very glad I stayed. Mrs. Klahn is very intelligent and great teacher and is an excellent resource for one on one questions. She can be very difficult when it comes to grading but I'm very appreciative of that. I also enjoyed having her for French, a subject she seems very passionate about. Mrs. Klahn, she is very kind
I had her for English and if you aren't a favorite, good luck. If you get her for English TRANSFER NOW!
I had her for English. This is important, because I have heard she is an alright French teacher, but for English, she is a nightmare.
She definitely chooses favorites, so if you are stuck with her, try to get on her really good side. It is possible to do well, but you really need to read her and figure out exactly what she wants, because that is all she will look for.
She does talk condescendingly to you, as if you are 5 years old, but that is the least of my issues with her.
It's really hard to get an A in her class. Shes an incredibly harsh grader. I really hated her class. Incredibly hard to learn anything when you're focused on the D that you are going to receive tomorrow on that essay.
Assigns a heavy workload that is nearly impossible to complete. Grades harshly and unfairly and seems to choose favorites. Assigns essays during breaks, which become times for writing essays that you will get a bad grade on anyway.
Definately not my favorite teacher. She can be condesending and she is a very, very tough grader. I had trouble in my first quarter of Freshman English Honors because I wasn't used to the English cirriculum and frankly, felt that she was crushing my creativity. However, I went in to meet with her several times and before turning in essays and assignments and it turned out to be really helpful. If you have her for English: be sure to go in for help, even if you think you don't need it.
She is nice, but treats you like your five and then grades u like ur 30. harsh grader. and wayyy to over enthusiastic.
She is one of the sweetest, kindest teachers i have ever had. She's always there if you need help. If it wasn't for her hard grades and excellent teaching methods, I probably wouldn't have survived th
So she's a really hard grader, but she's really sweet and tries so hard to get everything back the next day. English honors is ok but French honors is really easy, and she allows a lot of joking too.
idk about how she is as an english teacher, but as a french teacher, she's probably the sweetest, kindest teacher i've had yet. she never loses her cool w/ our class. one of my favorite teachers!
focuses way too much on essays and barely reviews any grammar. Gives way too big of a workload for students sometimes as well.
Very easy grader in most areas, a little uptight sometimes, but overall was a solid English teacher. She relied way too much on structure and less on substance in essays, though.
Ms. Klahn is an amazing french teacher. If you try and don't act up you'll do well. Stay on her good side and you'll love her. Lots of ppl hate her b/c they were annoying. Can't blame her for that.
She really improved my writing and speaking. She's very clear in what she expects in class/essays/speeches. She's a great french teacher and a good english teacher.
I really disliked having Mrs. Klahn as a teacher. She is overly harsh and a total hypocrite. She also has no idea how to grade a paper.
OMG HATE HER! she treats us like we're babies and is sooooo hard! She has favorites and they always get the good grades! She's a bad teacher cuz all we do is take quotes quizzes and write essays!
i hated her!! i had her for french...grr..she treats her students like they're 5
Horrible teacher. She has no idea what she is even talking about half the time I thought I went back to the 1st grade. She only grades the people that she likes the good grades.
Ha yeah she definitely talks to her students like we are children. I really did not like her very much
She's a realli good teacher that really helps u and helps u understand
