She is definitely a good teacher like you actually get information and understand in her class, though she grades harsh especially on labs.
Ms. Hagen is just so intimidating and hard to approach. She's super strict on lab guidelines and doesn't often welcome student questions. She's always busy and is never available after school. I feel as if she doesn't like the students at all. Otherwise, the tests were easy if you did the homework and classwork.
My daughter loves Mrs Hagen. She is aware of the many demands of students and takes their busy lives into consideration. Highly recommend and warmly thank!
Obviously Ms Hagen has a troll on here. She is an excellent teacher. She prepares you well for exams and the homework is completely reasonable. She is funny and I love her funny style and clothes. Haters gonna hate.
First of all, whoever made this page cannot spell, it's Kelli HAGEN not Hagan.
She is really clear, seems to have some favorites, exam aren't to bad if you study and pay attention during lectures. The blue hair is weird, very hard to approach. She grades labs harshly. And she doesn't curve tests. I think that she is an excellent teacher but could improve.
if you are her student and hold a single conversation with her you'll find her to be a chill, down to earth, affectionate teacher. She also knows how to blow rings and roll fat. Much love ms Hagen, definitely giving you a shout out if i ever make it big
She really isn't that bad of a teacher, she just gets saddled with terrible students like the reviewer below who said 'her tests were so hard we had to cheat on them.' If you do the homework, you will do fine in the class. She curves every test.
It's obvious Ms. Hagen read her reviews and tried to improve. I think she did a good job. As long as she hasn't answered your question (in the lecture or the directions), she'll answer it. Generally, she's nice (except lab 7) and knows her stuff.
Took chem H, obtained an A- with little difficulty. She posted powerpoints online and I found her helpful on the occasions I visited her during tutorial. Her dress was quirky and fun to watch... not sure what people are complaining so much about.
Exams are fair, if you do the homework. She knows quite a bit I think, but seems kind of lazy, and uncooperative. She doesn't seem to want to help most students, except ones she likes, and is reluctant to give back earned points on assignments.
i dont understand what all the hate on ms. hagen is about... she is nice, cool, and gives exams that reflect the lecture. If you are struggling in her class, you probably dont like her, and she is not easily available for extra help, but if you pay attention during the lectures you will do ok. also, she hands out her lecture notes. in the most blatantly obvious way possible, she is telling you what is on the test. Her labs are ok as long as you follow the format.
Might as well be an online course. Never available to talk and isn't helpful at all.
hagen is probably one of the worst and rudest teachers i have had. She blatantly ignores students' questions and if she does end up listening, she'll get mad at you and say "well you obviously didnt pay attention or you'd know". her tests do not reflect the labs or homework at all. her lectures are so unclear and difficult to follow and she contradicts herself in what she says all the time. also, she will never admit if shes wrong. and she picks favorites. shes a b*. dont take her class
Chem Honors is HORRIBLE because of her. She is eager, but her instructions are not clear at all, and when she makes a mistake, she doesnt admit it. One time, the class average for a lab was around 60%, and she insisted it was because we were all bad at reading her instructions. When I go ask her questions, she says I need to figure it out myself or else I will never learn. She once even told me to GO AWAY. Oh, and she has favorites.
Horrible really. Unclear instructions, and defends herself when SHE makes a mistake. Also tends to be very impatient when asked a question. Labs are fun especially the magnesium one but she is a tough grader.
Ms. Hagen was mean and unsupportive the entire time I had her. After I dropped her class, I lost my faith in the paly science dept and really stopped enjoying science in general.
I have her for Chem H. She knows her subject, but can't explain it very well, and is unwilling to give individual help. LOTS of students in her class have tutors at the ARC. She often tests us on material she may have mentioned once during the entire unit. No study guides (except for finals). She doesn't particularly like students in general. She takes off points for unreasonable and tiny things. We aren't allowed to type labs. Hw is very easy though. She's organized too. Easy class.
Ms. Hagen had us do this lab and she told us that she wouldn't help us and we had to guess a procedure and miraculously all reach the same conclusion. She's super strict and really scary and overall r
okay teacher and an okay class. unfortunately she made some very insensitive and off-color remarks in class and i ended up dropping.
Chem is a hard class but if you have Hagen its enjoyable. She makes jokes and obviously makes an effort to keep your attention. She is passionate about chem as welll as her students. Great Teacher
Excellent teacher. Clear, fair and organized. Seek her out if you need help. Anyone who gave a low rating is probably getting a bad grade and trying to take it our on her. Do your work and you'll do o
Great teacher! Helpful and really ccol! Plus, she plays awesome music!
such an amazing teacher for chemistry A. hels you out so much. get her on your good side and she'll pick on u less. isn't really helpful on labs and acitivities but on everything else shes really help
mediocre chem teacher @ best - unfortunetly probably the best chem teacher in the school
She's sick. She's a hurdler and plays good music when we're doing labs. She's also a fair teacher and will give you extensions and extra help if you approach her.
