I had him for Chem I my junior year. I always struggled at math so since chemistry involves algebra (which was my main struggle at the time), I didn't immediately get what he was trying to teach. When explaining this to him, he didn't seem to care & said then I'll just fail if I can't get the basics of what he's teaching. Not helpful at all, not understanding at all. He may know his stuff when it comes to Chem, but he can't teach it worth a darn.
Took this class a few years ago and learned a lot. This guy is the epitome of a college professor with some jokes thrown in for good measure. Lectures are concise and are very related to the book (something you take for granted in high school). Webassign is annoying but get used to it, kid. That's all you ever see in college. Very knowledgeable guy, the kind of guy you should ask for life advice.
very difficult teacher.
May be really tough, but you come out knowing chemistry.
Can't understand anything with one teaching style.
i seriously...hated his class. horrible teacher, you cant understand anything in class and he only teaches to 1 teaching style. also he makes bad, inappropriate jokes that are offensive
Does not grade papers he collects; he just throws them away. Insist on getting your submitted materials returned with an evaluation.
Although he kind of expects you to know everything and doesn't really teach the material, somehow he prepares you well for the AP. But I still hate Webassign...so much
So you go through hell for a year. But do you really not like that guy?
HE'S AMAZING!!he may give alot of hw but i feel like that is the only class that i learn anything.i mean honestly, how many classes do u just study for the test? i love it. & the jokes r hilarious
very inappropriate jokes. i usually choose to study from the book because i dont really understand what his point its when he is talking. hard for me to understand him
He gives alot of work, which takes longer to do than all other classes combined. Besides that, his class is pretty good. He teches well and has the best sense of humer ive ever seen in a teacher.
Favors the "jocks"; belittles students who need further explanation on a topic or concept; doesn't demonstrate courtesy, fairness, or respect in classroom
very very tough teacher with high standards for class work and homework is relentless and never-ending. However, although he overworks his students, he is also a good teacher and he actually cares about his students - something that is rare in teachers these days. Looking back I liked his class.
what an awesome guy! it's a lot of work but in the end, it's worth it
man, i learned so much from him, he really made me understand chem so much better
He DOES explain why we do the "steps"... You'd have to be a *fool* to not know the importance of doing them! He can be overly sarcastic sometimes...
