Mr. Henry changed my life. Maybe saved it. The first year I had him, I was determined to get him fired. The second year I had him, I got why he taught the way he taught. The third year he made me a better writer, a better reader, a better person that wasn't afraid of who I was even though I wasn't a good fit for the Baylor/McCallie/GPS mold. He was there when the system failed me. He's one of the reasons I'm successful now, 20 years later.

He's overall pretty good. He is a rambler, though, and can tell stories galore. His teaching methods are unusual to say the least, and he tends to BS his way through student questions or concerns. He kind of forces you to learn on your own, because he is so unhelpful. He does not give homework in a straightforward way, and is very abstract. You rarely if ever have a good gist of what he wants from you. Gotta give him a decent score because he knows his stuff, and eventually gets the information to you as a student, however long that might take.

He's a great guy as a person, but his teaching methods and analogies are not the best, to say the least. He tends to pick favorites, does not give feedback on work, and expects you to read his mind. If you ask him a question, he will pull answers straight from his butt and deliver them to you on a silver platter. One of his greatest qualities is that he allows you to learn the subject by yourself. He is not very consistent in anything he says, but overall, he gets the information across.

Ken Henry is a nice guy if he likes you, but no one likes a favorite picker. He can be rude, arrogant, and unkind to you if he doesnt know you. My experiences with his favoritism have left me with a rather bad impression...

Great teacher and cool to hang out with. Difficult to deal with as a basketball coach- lets politics dictate his coaching which has alienated a lot of players
