Am I allowed to rate a teacher 16-18 years after taking his class? If so, Mr. Torre was one of the best teachers I had in high school. While I didn't end up in a math career, I do work in tech and I appreciate how he made difficult concepts much easier to grasp. His classes were fun, challenging, and he respected his students. He helped instill a love of math and logic in an liberal arts nerd, and always held us accountable.
He's a good teacher overall but I'm pretty sure he uses just for men because no man his age has no grey hairs but it might be because he's Italian
Sick breh 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
He is an awesome teacher. I don't see why the Press Democrat would write that awful column about him just because he made a joke in a test. It's true that a lot of the students at Rancho do drugs, smoke, are in gangs, have tattoos, and aren't academically focused. Nobody at Rancho should be offended who this isn't true about, but those who are offended, need to re-evaluate their lives. I know that I am a good student and person, so the joke doesn't offend me the way it might offend someone else.
Mr. Torre is probably the most challenging teacher I've ever had to deal with; however, if you really dedicate yourself to keeping up with the material and homework assignments, it is possible to do well. On the other hand, his AP material tends to move at an extremely fast pace, so it is often incredibly difficult to stay updated with all the new material. Exams are extremely difficult and his grading is pretty harsh, but you can bring your notebook. Quizzes are good for grade recovery.
HE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!
I have had straight A's last year. I tried to learn from him, Tried asking for help and i would just get insulted by him constantly. He gave use text books then told use not to use them.
Learned more math in one year, then all my other years.
He is one of the best teachers I've had. His exams can be quite difficult, but if you actually do the assignments and ask him for help on things it isn't as hard to be successful. He has a great teaching style that is just challenging enough to be interesting but not too overwhelmingly difficult. His tests and quizzes do a great job preparing for the AP test, and not to mention he's just a really cool guy personally.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. Exams are harder than the AP Exams. He knows how to prepare students and makes classes fun. Also has a sick and twisted sense of humor. Will miss Mr. Torre.
Probably one of the most amazing teachers I have ever had. He makes sure you understand the topics, and teaches in ways that we can remember. I enjoyec having him for precal this year, the best ever
Mr. Torre is a great teacher. I've had him twice now and I wouldn't want any other math teacher, but Mr. Torre. He likes to talk about himself and other interesting subjects.
honestly the best teacher ive ever had. hes tough but i learned more from him than any other teacher. understanding and very smart. a great refresher from the rediculous public school system
I wish I could give you 6's accross the board. 'Cause I know you'd just love seeing the devil's numbers in representation of your performance as a teacher. :D
learned a lot...fun class...if you can handle tough material take him...
Awesome. He'll give you all his attention into helping you solve a problem, but only if he knows you need it and you ask for it.
He's a great teacher, he just doesn't like it when a student has a faster car than him. Especially if its a Chevy.
Best ever. Had him for 2.5 years from his start to our graduation. Excellent role model, brilliant, caring, a good friend for years to come... trust me.
Torre is great teacher...I can't imagine having anybody else for math! Just listen to his lectures, study a little, and you'll do just fine!
Great teacher! Helpful, encouraging, and gives good recipts too! Fun and funny. Defidently a good math teacher. He makes math, of all classes, fun.
Knows what he's doing, and is willing to go out of his way to help a student. One of the 2 best teachers I've ever had.
Funny. very clear, but if previous math teachers wern't that great he doesn't do much to compensate and laughs at you. overall he is great, one of the best.
Torre is aight, though he is very concided, and is all about the Happy Bunny and Sponge Bob crap, he is a great teacher. He is a little evil, but fair.
He keeps his classes engaged (or lets one or two students sleep if they know the material). Although arrogant, he is arrogant in a good way.
an awesome teacher that makes a subject that is usually boring something that you want to learn... i look forward to his class because i can never stop laughing
Oh my Torre, Mathgod has transformed me into a mean sarcastic math geek! W/his original vocab, u can never forget concepts like x/0=aah! & the not-caring face!!
After two years of Torre's class, i have yet to tire of his endless stream of sarcasm and insanity.
his class is hard but everything always seems to become clear as the week goes on.
one of the best math teachers ive ever had, even though he has a complete obsession with spongebob
On an awesomeness scale of 1 - 10, with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best, Mr. Torre is definitely a 10. Or maybe a 9, coz I'm just that hard to please.
A bit of a facist, but once you get past his exterior of conservatism a very good teacher, even though his method of reward perpetuates the Capitalist system.
MR. TORRE IS THE BEST MATH TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD. HE IS A GREAT TEACHER AND REALLY FUNNY...WELL USUALLY...
Very good teacher, take as many classes with him as you can. Hard, but good
He's very kooky, but he makes being a math nerd (or any nerd) cool.
