He only cares about the sports teams. If you aren't an athlete, your concerns get benched.
Kevin has an incredibly hard job and handles it very well. He is a non-nonsense guy which probably rubs some the wrong way. But he is fair, and if you work hard and follow the rules you'll be fine and he'll be your biggest supporter. Our son has had some troubles, and Mr. Wynkoop (and Mr. Slaid) have been extremely professional and helpful working through those.
Wynkoop does a great job making sure he finds a connection with as many students as possible. Not uncommon to see him walking around at lunch to talk to students. Does a good job of being present as much as possible with such a large student body. Very kind and considerate. I don't have a bad thing to say about him.
Mr. Wynkoop is an amazing princihpal, and if you can get on his good side he's a great friend and a helpful resource to talk to if you are stressed and he actually tries to make a difference. But if you screw around he will give you the consequences.
Wynkoop is an ineffective principal and leader. As another rating said, he and the rest of the administration at Ballard are not there to help students. Punish, never reward seems to be their motto.
They chose such a bad replacement for such a great principal (Brockman).
Mr. Wynkoop constantly talks to you as if your opinion or input is null or as if you were a naiive child. Respect goes both ways, and that's not how you build it.
I disliked him as an assistant principal, and god forbid, they promoted him.
He was a good teacher. i only had him for 3 months, because he got promoted to vice principal. hes a cool guy.
Mr. Wynkoop is the best teacher I ever had! he's challenging but makes history interesting. Very funny, caring, gets engaged with students and focused on learning while having fun!
I loved Mr. Wynkoop. I wish I had him for a teacher longer than I did. Very caring person. He has a great spirit.
he is a good teacher but needs to get help on his instruction clarifacation.
