Very easily misunderstood, horrible personality but great band director, listen to him, he knows what he's doing (most of the time). I have a unique name so he didn't know my name until 10th grade and I got into district honor band the same year so his respect of me went WAY up. Used to be super biased during my freshman year, has now gotten better. Hope he stays for the rest of my high school career.
Kind of a funny man. He is hard to get along with, but he really does care. Don't talk and stay on his good side. If he yells at you don't take it personally, just laugh.
He is a good teacher....but it took me two years to even get a single compliment...I know he has a large class..but he clearly favors a small group of more talented musicians. It been years since some one rated him but as the
Easy class, but huge spazz, just really funny actually
An easy class, but without private lessons, he hates you. He also changes moods in the blink of an eye, so watch out! He makes students feel worthless often... an unsavory person.
as long as you are a good player and you don't talk much (at all). you should make it alright. he does seem to favor students. screems and yells a whole lot
Contantly yelling. i would do alot better if i felt like i was an important part of the group rather than a lowly unwanted freshman.
Mr. Harrison is a phenomenal band teacher, but he has phases on mental instability that can be very scary
Creates unhealthy competition between students that are friends. Yells waaay too much and picks seniority over talent! not fair. good at making the band listen.
he could help people other than just yell at them. Seems to like only the best musicians
Harrison is an incredible band director, but he has some attitude problems. I've never had any problems getting along with him, but a lot of people have.
"Achieving success" of the group is all important. Individuals mean nothing, unless they are vitally important, in which case they receive preferential treatmt
takes a bit to sit in-but he does teach well-i can trace my success (open 4 Hancock, Redman, Mehldau, Scofield, Wasserman) to some things he taught
He's very dedicated to his job and expects high musical achievement from his students.
Mr. Harrison= very moody.. but he is the most normal fine arts teacher. I get along well with him, he's a good director.
ur nothin to him if not a good player. program will go downhill in 2 yrs tops
Only knowlegable about HIS instrument; not very helpful but gets good results
has a bad temper, but over all cuts people a lot of slack and is fun
okguydiscourages Q's bc yells . No practice=badplay good=will make breakfast 4u
Knows how to yell, but you have to in Band. Over all a good teacher.
