Mrs. White is one of my favorite teachers at Valley. She has a clear and deep knowledge of the content she teaches. She gives homework most nights but nothing that takes longer than 20 minutes. The mid-term exam was easy and clear, the tests she give directly correspond to the material taught. While Mrs. White goes fairly quickly through material, it is easy to understand and she gives supporting homework to drill in the information. I would definitely recommend her for pre-calc.
I personally don't mind Mrs. White's teaching style. I was able to understand the material we learned in the beginning of the year after we reviewed Algebra 2. I feel like she is underestimated by most students and has a bad rep, I agree it is hard to understand the material after she has been out for a long period of time.. However, it makes more sense after she explains it to us. The midterm was nothing like the study guide and many students struggled. -student 1.
Rarely attempts to teach her class, only correcting assignments we have taught ourselves the content for, this teacher is inconsistent. Shows favoritism in grading such assignments, and is reluctant to help students that ask for clarification of the answer on an assignment, after getting it back corrected. This teacher has questionable knowledge of the subject she teaches, and the class is more productive when she is gone, often regressing when she returns. In short, would not recommend.
She is a lazy teacher who doesn't understand the content she teaches. I had her for intro to stat and AP stat, and she continues to show a complete apathy towards doing her job. Most days she assigns notes and busy work, without a care in the world about her students understanding the material. She focuses on keeping us occupied for 86 minutes rather than teaching material. She is one of the worst teachers at the school and I would not recommend anyone take her class.
could be an interesting class if she didn't scream the whole time
Ms. White is one who has her good days where she will occasionally be nice to the class. This occasion is rare. Most days are her yelling at her students claiming this material isn't hard. If it's not hard then why won't you answer our questions or try teaching us? The saddest part is that I had once been good at math, but now I know I cannot take Calculus next year (taught by Allagreti)because I have learned nothing in Precalc
Nice teacher can be rude
