I took French class all 4 years and I really enjoyed my time there. It was always super fun and interactive, and everyone was very supportive of each other. While I do agree with the fact that she cares about her students, she does prioritize the ones who take the class seriously because she genuinely loves the culture. She's super passionate about sharing her knowledge because she hopes to inspire her students to seek the same experiences. Overall, I loved her. La meilleur prof de francais!
The first year of French she explained everything and made sure that we all understood everything. However, come the second year and that just stops. We move at an embarrassing pace and then we try to cram 3 chapters at the end of the year. She definitely has her favorite and non-favorite students, and she allows personal issues to reach the class. So for first year Frenchies, everything will be fine, but be ready to study on your own, because you will not be getting help from her the 2nd time.
She really always seems to be in a good mood for my period, and she explains everything a dozen times until everyone understands it. She really makes sure you know what you need to succeed in French.
She can not teach Spanish, but is overall an ok French teacher. But she plays favorites all the time
Madame is a fairly dedicated teacher whose abilities are often eclipsed by her unpopularity—she makes an effort to teach, but not everybody tries to learn and then blames her. She also plays favorites—a lot—and spends time running the extracurricular L'academie Française/Société Honoraire de Français and the French Club.
Not a great Spanish teacher, from what I've heard.
Ms. Kim (Madame) is really rude and loves to yell at innocent students. She isn't very helpful and makes students' eyes suffer!
Madame Kim's class is reeeeally easy to get an A in if you put in just a litttttle bit of effort. Her accent training program is fairly helpful for the select few that get in--she does play favorites.
Take it if you know French, otherwise, avoid. If you know French, the A couldn't be easier. Stay on her good side, be quiet, though passing notes is fine.
I've been in her class for 3 years now. Every year she gets worse, and I don't think that she even cares anymore. Make sure you do well on all of the tests/quizzes because she doesn't give very many.
the work she gives us isnt that hard, but out of the 9 units in the french book, we've learned 4. and its almost june. and shes trying to squeeze in 2 more units in like a week.
Does she really teach french, or is it some random language?
i didn't learn enough french but she's an easy grader and helpful most of the time
has no control over the class, but intentions are good. very awkward person, but that's not her fault. do the work, you'll get the grade.
eccentric, but not unkind. knowledgable. very managable course material. self-conscious; allows disrespectful students to bring down the quality of her class
It's just boring is all...she can be nice sometimes.
I had her for french and I was often bored in her class. But she was cool when we went on the field trips.
i don't like her classes they are boring and sometimes she gives out too much hw...basically i don't think she's a good teacher
her classes are very easy- just pay attention and participate.
Though Mrs. Kim is rude, she is a very caring person. She is also a good teacher.
