I had Lacy as both a poetry/creative writing teacher, and as a Lacrosse coach in 1980. He was a long haired new agey hippie among yuppie teachers, not a slave to fashion, and laid back. He was encouraging, kind, and humorous. I have fond memories of him taking us out into the hallways for guided meditation. Quirky, yes, but a good man. One of only three teachers I really went back to thank at VHS.
i like him. he is great and i like to speek so you know
i have so much respect for mr taylor because he is actually intelligent & doesn't passively sit there and let kids act like morons.
this man needs to catch up with the times and needs to chill out.
I liked his class, but when I saw him write up some kids for talking in the hallway after school I was really turned off. We're in High School, lighten up!
I dropped his class after a week... horrible teacher
too uptight, doesn't actually teach public speaking, is incredibly boring
MR. TAYLOR IS REALLY COOL- HE ONLY GETS KIDS FOR DRESS CODE THAT HE HATES AND THEY'RE SCUMBAGS ANYWAY HE'S VERY VERY SMART AND HIS TASTE IN MUSIC IS AWESOME-
I began his class as a bad public speaker. I left even worse.
I learned nothing from the class, it was a total waste of my time, I really hated the memorization stuff, tell me when will I ever use this?
Mr. Taylor is a really nice guy and though many students disagree with him when it comes to certain things, he's a really nice and fair teacher
how does this man still have a job?? he cares more about dress code and rediculous rules than teaching his boring class. keep sagging the pants and showin skin!
He's a decent guy... some of his viewpoints kinda bug me, though.
For a speech teacher, he is incredibly boring and horrible at connecting with his audience. He will not teach you a thing about how to give a speech, so if you are bad, you will still be bad when you come out
These marks are good- but his monotone voice makes class awful! And he is clear and gives good instructions, but too many times, makes me feel like I'm in second grade
