Mr. Jacot is a very nice man but he has no teaching or organizzation skills whatsoever. the class was completely pointless and unorganized and he put half the class to sleep.
Mr. Jacot is a great teacher but his class is full of unappreciative kids. If you actually have an interest in US history then his class would've been interesting. He honestly cared about students who tried and was really nice even to the slackers who probably didn't deserve leniency. If he retires this year; Marina will be losing a great teacher
I love Mr.Jacot! Not very many people do though. He reminds me of Mr.Feeney from boy meets world. He's super laid back and really nice, if you get him you're lucky. You'll learn alot because the man knows everything!
This may be the worst classroom experience I've ever had! Mr. Jacot is too self-absorbed to be interesting. He rambles around a topic, and he never keeps his Parent/Student Portal updated, so you don't know how you're doing until your report card arrives (and it's too late). Get a schedule change!
He's really nice and knows a lot of stuff but you're pretty much on your own for the course (for AP US at least).
really nice guy - kind of like a nice grandfatherly type. He never gets really mad at anyone, and very helpful if you ask questions.
He is a sweet guy, knows his stuff and will help you with whatever questions you have. I loved AP US with him!
Mr. Jacot is so awesome. AP US with him was such a sweet class. Pretty easy but I did good on the AP test and got two A's. He is such a tight guy. Ask him a Prop 13 if you really want to get him going!
Mr. Jacot is sooo nice. He's cool. I like him. Sometimes he's a little lenient on everybody, maybe too much, but it's cool. I don't like history much, but Jacot makes it fun.
he has not taught me one thing. He spends the first 30 minutes of class on his compiter and we dont do anything then he gives us a paper that has nothing to do with what we are studying about, doesnt discuss anything and then gives us a 100 point test.
very easy, and helpful if you ask him but he is boring. at least you don't do much, i think
gets off topic really easy. I was in his class when I 1st heard of the 9-11 attack. We didn't talk about anything else for like 2 weeks. Show up, and you'll do well
it is one of the easilest classes i have eevr taken, alls he does it talk and we watch mvies, there is nothing about his class, ya he is kinda boring, but he is real easy
Mr Jacot was BY FAR the most boring teeeacher ever, but he still DID give us ALOT of information to learn, it was a very self motivated class. He is a nice guy as well.
I HATED Jacot. not only did he ramble on about his own semi-communist oppinions all the time, he had a way of using up tons of time on lengthly lectures, but giveing no good info.
I have never fallen asleep in a class so much. Fairly easy, just so much monotone I can't stay awake. When I am awake, he explains things thoroughly.
Okay a tip for the kids who have him for Jr year. TAKE THE "ITEMS LIST" VERY seriously. Study that and do yur hw and an "A" or "B" is on its way.
While he is helpful, its the student's responsibility to go to him for help, as he treats his class not as US History, but as Socialism 101.
He knows what he's doing and whats you to learn what you're supposed to. He can help you if you need it but understand he has hundreds of students. Grades fair!
first semester i got a B, even though i deserved a C and i didnt really read open the book. the second semester i read every chapter and got an A...it payed off
Needs to review subject matter of the class being taught, not what's news to him for the day.
Mr. Jacots' class may not be the easiest, but he is a really cool guy and will do whatever he can to help you out. He is really liberal/ good advice.
Thirty years of teaching US History has effected him
he was really nice and a good teacher. you just gotta do your work and study. but that goes for almost all classes.
