Mrs. Bortz was one of the toughest graders. I worked harder to get an A in her class than ever before. However, she is the best editor you could ask for. She is amazing with helping to flush out ideas on your thesis, best one on one, other than class time b/c she is not so rushed. She helped me to create a fabulous thesis product and may be tough but will prepare you so well for the rest of high school. You would be lucky to get her, even though you might hate junior year.

Mrs. Bortz is hard, but very fair. She reads EVERYTHING you write and gives you good feedback on your papers. She really helps you become a better writer.

She really cares about helping us get through thesis. It's a boring class - which she admits - but it really prepared me for college.

She is a horrible thesis/theory of knowledge teacher. If you get her, switch out. She is horrible at explaining things, and has no idea what she is talking about. Worst teacher at magnet I've had.
