Mr. Markiewicz is absolutely the singluar BEST TEACHER I have ever met in my life. He's entirely dedicated to educating his students with a level of commitment and love no other teacher shows. We are family to him. Not only does he inspire amazing musicianship, he also cares about teaching character, leadership, and hard work, which has already helped me already in my academic career and I know will stay with me for the rest of my life. We desperately need him back to teach future generations.

He is an unstable teacher. He has thrown things at students. He is a bully, disrespectful to students and should not be working with children. He told a marching band student he marched 'like he had cerebral palsy'. He said this over the megaphone from the cherry picker. He is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

He was nice when I met him for the first time and then I started marching band and well it was crazy most days ,but it was still really fun. Obviously he did his job well because we made it to semi finals at Indy and we placed 18th. I kinda wish he was back at school but marching band schedules are up so I guess he's coming back hopefully soon. He's a great teacher who just wants students to do well and Mr Myer is an awesome teacher really laid back.

Mr. Markiewicz is by far the best band director Bridgewater-Raritan has ever seen. Ever since he joined the band program, the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensembles, and Marching Band has excelled and been elevated to the state level. Due to his hard work and dedication to the band program, Bridgewater undoubtedly has the best band program in the state; the Marching Band even made it as the 18th best band in the ENTIRE COUNTRY! Without him, the band program will sadly become a shell of its former glory.

I'm a sophomore in both the marching band and wind ensemble, and I can truthfully say he is the best mentor I will ever have. I can easily understand why people don't like him, since he can be demanding at times, but if you do what he says, I guarantee it will pay off. Marching band is a great example, and after many years he has gotten us into Semi-Finals at Grand Nationals, something I will never forget. He is also very hard-working, and is always conducting doing something.

Mr. Markiewicz is the single greatest teacher I've ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable on the subject of music but does so much more by providing students with life lessons and skills. Many people dislike him due to his style, but these people are immature and do not understand his overall goal. It is true that he does have favorites, but these students are individuals who show exemplary musicality and leadership. I am not one of his favorites, but I still respect and admire him so much.

I think that people are unfair to him. I'm in his music workshop class, and I've noticed that so long as you're not a juvenile delinquent, and treat him with respect, he's a really cool guy. And has a great sense of humour.

Although Mr. Markieiwicz gets upset if his students do not put in enough effort (and I would be too, if I were him), he is a very encouraging director and I don't see why people hate him. You just have to put your heart and soul into what you do, and he will commend you for your effort and determina

I don't understand why so many people hate him. I understand that he occasionally yells at us, but that is only when we deserve it. He also teaches us about important virtues in life that actually make sense. I think he takes great pride in being a band teacher and really cares for our success.
