One of my favorite teachers. Sometimes people at Bonita say bad things about him because they're not used to his teaching style or his own unique personality, but the class is extremely enjoyable and he goes beyond simply teaching out of a textbook by giving students priceless lessons about life. Mr. Thompson cares about the success and wellbeing of his students and is very understanding of each student's individual needs and issues.
Definitely has his favorites...
His exams are very difficult but if you read the book and use online resources you will do fine.
Overall, a nice guy.
Mr. Thompson has a unique/fun style of teaching. Some feel as if he is a "bad teacher" because he does not teach traditionally. I truly admire his teaching, he does not go along the requirements to just reach the standards, instead, focusing on key elements and applies/goes very deep into the concepts. He is a very verbal teacher so notes must be taken for later studying, but every once in a while he does assign questions to make sure people are on topic. Be mentally present and learn a lot.
I honestly believe Mr.Thompson knows what he's doing, but he never teaches and expects us to read the whole textbook in order to fill in all the gaps and pass the only 1 test he gives per quarter
Mr. Thompson was a big influence in me becoming a teacher. Thanks for inspiring me to teach and give back to my community.
Mr.thompson teaches but is not helpful. I walked by the little room next to his room and saw him touching 2 girls in into propose places. I told some upperclassmen and they said he does that to cute freshmen girls. But he's a pretty cool dude.
Definitely has his favorites, especially if you're a cute freshmen girl. His tests never make any sense and sometimes he doesn't really know what he talks about, he is somewhat bitter of the fact that he's only teaching highschoolers and not a professor at a college. If you're lucky you might get to here one of his rants about weird things such as glitter or milk.
Definitely plays favorites. I Did not like the way he teached. Really wish I had a different teacher.
I had Thompson in the 90's. He had part in making me want to be a teacher. He made science and school fun. Wish I could have taught during those years before teaching to tests became number one. Good
haha, funny guy! besties with Turner and Clague, which i think is funny, but he's a cool teacher, not always the best for teaching, but he's ok. CORE and AP physics were fun with him! Love you Thompy!
Thomthom. You may know science, but you don't know how to teacher. Just give us a book and tell us when the tets are, and we don't even have to go to your class. We talk about nothing except cruelty.
Thompson seriously left to go fishing, everyday last year in June. he told us to ditch so he wouldn't have to show up, ROCK ON THOMPSON!!!
An AWESOME teacher! One of the best, ever. He can teach very well (when and if he gets around to it) He loves to prank people, and is cool with being pranked if he likes you that day...
Clearly had his favorite students back when I had him in the '80s. Unfortunately, seems as if nothing has changed since. If you can't be fair, why even pretend.
being a girl= A; being a male= not an A (except if your smart)
Thompson is a tree hugging hippie who lets his own political agenda interfere with the status of his class. In addition, he is un-nowledgable in certain areas
THE BE4ST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD (TIED WITH TURNER FOR THAT STAUS)(LOL) GROUP 15 ROCKZ!!! RIGHT THOMPSON??? TAKING HIM NEXT YEAR FOR AP ENVIRONMENTAL SCHIECE
