It is impossible to get through Calculus without asking the teacher a lot of questions. She is very open about offering help sessions, and is sometimes available at breaks to answer questions as well. Even though the tests are difficult and her grading can be a little tough sometimes, if you understand everything well it's a doable class.
Ap Calculus BC in general is a very hard class and very fast-paced. Finals and tests are super hard and I ran out of time on almost all of them. It is hard to get full points on class participation but Mrs. James is very nice and she cares about her students alot. If you actually participate in class and ask question she is very good at explaining them. However, If you dont pay attention she usually calls on u to ask questions about classwork. Its ALOT of work but she offers after school help.
Very hard class but if you pay attention and self study u'll be fine
Super monotone and hypocritical, sucks at teaching and just reads out of the textbook.
Tests on stuff she hasn't taught you and expects you to know it. Plays horrible music in class and doesn't let you listen to any of your own music. Switch out ASAP you don't want to be in this class. All my other friends take honors pre calc and say it's easy because their teacher is good. Worst teacher I have ever had, and I had a bio teacher who got fired after one year for being terrible.
I have one word for you: sassy. She's constantly giving attitude to students in her class. I'm one of the students that doesn't even talk as often, but she still gives me more sass than other students in her class. Classwise, she's an okay teacher but calculus is a hard class. If you get it, you'll do fine. If you don't, prepare to face much hardship and frustration in her class.
Ms.James is a good teacher as she actually teaches the subject. I had her for Honors Precalc. It was sad that i managed to get only a B in her class, but if you can grasp the concept very easily then you can relax. She is genereally nice. He extra-credit points favor only a few people and not all.
Sorry to say Mrs. James has been my worse math teacher. She does not finish the daily notes and then expects us to understand the homework. I have just taken to sleeping in class and learning from the book. The one positive thing about her class is that she plays the Beatles sometimes.
She is often monotone and some of her explanations will leave most of the class confused or falling asleep. However, she has a decent sense of humor and will play music while we work.
ms. james is very sweet, and she gives you a lot of time to study and do homework. but sometimes she is really monotone.
she is the nicest math teacher. She always leaves time for homework, and enjoys giving extra explainations to those who have trouble understanding the math concept.
she's very monotone and no one in the class understands what she's talking about.
hey ms james is my fav teachers at amador!! shes so funny.. and so helpful at the same time.. not like those other boring math teachers... miss u!!!!
I think she's awesome. She doesn't teach in the style that I need, but it's all ok. Other ppl need her style and I think she's an awesome person. Hecka nice!
Shes great...I had a great time in her class, and she let us listen to music when we were doing our homework. She was very laid back.
she's a sweetheart i had a lot of fun in her class last year
She is the greatest teacher! So Is so helpful and so pleasant. She always offers extra help if you need it!
