I graduated in 1984. Mr. Z stands to this day as the man who embodied my passion for mathematics--I could not have Euler, Laplace or Cauchy, but Mr. Z was truly inspiring and made me feel capable of tackling any mathematical problem. During 1983-1984 he prepared then student Michael Reed, who was also part of the Advance Match class, to complete in the international Math Olympiads, where Michael won Gold and Silver for the U.S.A. team! I wish I cold get a hold of him and thank him.
He often plays favorites and invests time in a select few. Amazing students with proofs from years ago. If you're a Feynman, you'll get special treatment. If you're a closet Einstein, expect to be looked over.
He focuses on clear delivery of the material and absolute command of the subject. As a physicist, I hope to do the same. His favorite physicist,Richard Feynman, and his teachings likely inspired him.
I had Zimmerman for BC Calculus in 1998 and I find his pedagogy even to this day truly inspiring. He’d even gone beyond the curriculum to introduce us fractional derivatives, ii= e-π/2 and advanc
soo much passion is shown in his teaching. I just graduated and I'm off to persue a carrer as an accountant which wouldn't have been possible if he wasn't their to teach me. He is sogivingtoeducation
I have just reconnected with Mr Z after 25 years and spoken to him on the phone. He was so much more than just a math teacher. He cared about his students and enriched our lives. He is like a Schaum's outline for life. Thanks for everything Mr Z.
He was my math team and BC calc teacher. He is the best teacher I ever had. Being in his class inspired me for the rest of my life. He did not only taught Calculus; he taught us how to think logically through reasoning. I would not be where I am right now (in a PhD program in CS) without being in his class. I hope he will read these one day. Thanks, Zimmerman.
I took his BC Calculus class in 1997. For the past three years I have been teaching math at a high school after getting my master's in math. Mr. Zimmerman had a lot to do with me not only enjoying math but actually pursuing it and becoming a teacher of the subject. And I enjoy every single moment of it. Thank you Mr. Zimmerman.
He knew how to teach math as well as every other subject. He is a true Renaissance man. I learned more about Math, English and the world from him than I did from all of my other teachers at Tech.
im ganna miss him i think he liked me not sure tho, he was a great teacher never did anything wrong, was a math wiz, genius pure genuse, its like got in his bod
The best math teacher at tech. He's class is hard, but very interesting. Mr. Zimmerman knows how to teach. I have learned a lot in his class
Everyone loves him. He teaches really well, and you'd be lucky to have him. He absolutely does not like me though. He should be more professional
The best math teacher alive.Teaches very well. i am very lucky to have him as my math team teacher.
Great teacher, enthusiastic about what he does - motivational. Very knowledgeable.... but....perhaps shows too much favoritism?
a God-made teacher, most insightful, sophisticated, inspirational, and Math-motivational teacher ever, he didnt get that Presidential Award for no reason
Gave me back my work with just "nonsense!" written on it as a grade, so don't expect an easy A. Not sure if they taught that in teaching school, either. Failed.
The math team rocks. I learned alot from him although it is very hard
I won't lie, he isn't an easy teacher... but then Calc is a hard subject. He tries his best and is always willing to help you.
Very caring person...Smartest person I know...The best teacher I know...
he is what every teacher should model themselves after
Hez the best math teacher, and teacher i had ever had!!! im gonna miss 4 years of math analysis and bc calculus... he even wrote different recommendations for us for different scholarships!!!
He is the best teacher I have ever had, a brilliant man and a caring person
i just found out that he's the one who wrote the SSHSAT book, amazing teacher!
Mr.Zimmmerman is a true intellectual with an amazing personality. Such a person!
THE most intelligent, fun, and wise teacher you'll ever meet.
A great man with a fascinating insight who is willing to share it.
MAkes you want to learn. He would make a great principal.

Can't find another man in the world who can teach like him.
