MC taught me 20 years ago, in the inaugural NYC Lab class. His lessons still resonate loudly to this day. Contemporaries in college+ (Ivy) read Achebe. I read it at age 12 w MC. Listen. Challenge. Sponge. He is unparalleled.
He really brainwashes you. I only know black history. I hate when he doesn't say words and names correctly.
But he's cool. :) and passionate. He's shown me some really great films during his class.
Great Teacher, don't keep your opinions to yourself. Challenge him even if he puts you down or trys to ignore you. I got 95's in this class just by participating, it's easy. Also regents are so easy
MC, Brooke, and Heidi are the finest teachers at Lab. Not to take away from the merits of the other teachers, but most are too young to understand the priviledged world of the stud
He's a purely amazing teacher, and a master of the critical thinking game. You should be critical of his own biases, though. Black panthers rock!!
I think by far MC is one of the greatest teachers at lab. He is extremely passionate about what he does and he actually teaches students about events that truly matter in the world
M.C. Teaches a great class if you want to learn about Africa. He's passionate, but highly biased and one must come to class prepared to really think and challenge.
My FAVORITE teacher! He teaches with passion and is a knowledgeable man who encourages students to challenge and participate in social issues in discussions.
he avoids anybody who disagrees with him. has an obvious slant in his teaching and doesn't really allow dissent. in his mind, a brainwashed student is the best.
MC is a historian who knowsa lot. he is very knowledgeable and if you are a little open minded you can learn a lot from him
He doesn't teach history, he teaches black studies! Everything else, you have to read yourself.
