He's a great teacher that obviously loves what he does. If you do your work and actually put effort into your essays, you'll end up with a good grade. He truly cares about his students and even offers extra credit (a rarity among sfhs teachers).
So the class is pretty easy if you read. Unlike APENG it's possible to get an A *cough* Amy *cough*. We read a lot of books and you actually need to read cause some aren't online. I hate Anthills of the Savannah with a burning passion because of this. We talk about plays or whatever's going on in his life so it's a pretty nice work period. You don't bother him, he doesn't bother you. Take his class if you want a free and don't care about your grade or actually read books and you'll get an A.
I loved being in his class. He was a great teacher and he truly cared about his students and the books we read in class. I was in his AP Lit class, and I struggled to maintain a good grade in his class at the beginning of the first semester. But going to see him in collaboration really helped me stay afloat, and I eventually was able to succeed in his class with his guidance. Don't be afraid or intimidated to talk to him outside of class. He really is a nice man who wants students to succeed.
One of the best teachers I have ever had. He actually made me enjoy Shakespeare and I always looked forward to going to his class and talking about our books. He grades pretty fairly on essays but if you want a grade you really have to try in his class and be ready for his tests and reading quizzes. Hands down would recommend him to anyone who likes English, or even just likes being in an engaging class with a teacher who cares.
His Englsh class should be called AP-Theatre and other stuff that Mr. Christensen would rather talk about.
I felt like he really cared about me and took my ideas seriously during our in-class discussions. Very passionate about his subject too. One of the best teachers at SF
he's mean. plain and simple. he choses a student at the beginning of the year and rags them all year, no matter what they do. i'm just glad it wasnt me this year
Mr. C rocks my socks! That guy was awesome. I would take english again with him anyday.
Very good teacher, interested in the material he is teaching. Passionate about his job. He is also really helpful if people need help on their essays.
Great teacher. A little boring, but only when he talks about plays he has seen. ;)
Helped me in my writing a lot; I enjoyed his class. Sometimes the class was boring but I appreciated his enthusiasm and knowledge in his subject matter!
let us do one flew over the cucook's nesti played mcmurphy
Mr. Christensen takes so much time outside of class to get us to appreciate literary works by going to see plays and speakers outside the classroom.
awesome teacher. treats his students like adults. helps with essay ideas.
