I have mrs. Youngblood right now and she is the best teacher I've ever had.. Seriously. Looking at these reviews I'm shocked. At first, I'll admit that I didn't like Youngblood and thought she was very strict. But as time went on, I noticed how good and helpful of a teacher she was. She's also very funny and kind to her students, in a way I've never seen teachers towards their students. She is also very lenient on hw & grading tests and has many opportunities for students to boost their grades.
Profe's reviews honestly surprise me. My experience was, to put it nicely, hell on earth. I felt like dropping out of high school every time I walked into her class and read the schedule for the day, which would usually say "mensaje electronico" or "presentacion en clase". She offered to help the class out with "extra credit" (never added onto Aeries), final exam curves (she added 1 point), and more impromptu presentations to boost our grades (everyone had 100% in the category). Save yourselves.
Youngblood is one of the worst teachers I had ever had, I think i'll remember that class for my whole life remembering how awful it was. Her tests are just awful, you have to give up to your inevitable death as you get a D or lower test average. Dont worry she'll boost it up with extra credit she never gives, and projects that she gives 100's. I never thought I'd get such a low test grade until I went in her class. If you want to be humbled, take it, but I swear its the worst class ever.
profe's is the most sincere and caring teacher i've ever had. she's patient w students who are slower at learning and is honestly so dedicated to seeing her students succeed. ive never heard her raise her voice at someone, but if she has to, she makes sure to point out something positive, too. profe's also extremely flexible/understanding of students' stressful lives (she never assigns hw over break and when she sees her students are stressed out she cancels the homework) i love her to death
Class was kind of difficult. She told me just a few days before the AP test that my essays were terrible and I would do poorly on the test. She resents kids who skip Spanish 4 which is understandable. I ended up getting a 4....
I got a C- in tests/quizzes and still got an A in the class. Keep up with your homework and you will be fine.
Mrs. Youngblood is literally one of the most caring teachers out there. At the end of the day, she's a genuine person - aside from being a teacher. Came from Spanish 3 and received a 4 on the AP test because of her help. TAKE AP SPANISH LANGUAGE!
Ms. Youngblood is so sweet and understanding! Her tests are pretty difficult for me but she does her best to help you get past the difficulty. Just be honest with her and give her the respect she deserves and she will do the same!
Class is kinda hard, you need to study a bit, but she is very very helpful
She challenges students while simultaneously providing a fun environment. My favorite high school teacher. Ever.
Great teacher. She's very helpful to the students and I learned a lot in her class. The tests are hard sometimes, but it's rewarding overall
She is the most amazing teacher/person ever. She truely cares so much about each and everyone of her students and wants them to sucseed. She is willing to help you if you need extra help shes like a mom. I never felt nervous about spanish in that class because she makes you feel so welcome. she is the reason i took ap spanish. You will LOVE her!
very nice and helpful.. even on quizzes if you ask her a question she'll guide you to the answer. AP practice tests are hard but you can still get an A even if you fail all the practice tests. workload is light(like most spanish classes). doesn't really teach in class.. it's usually just practice/test in class, learn from reading outside. says some quirky stuff sometimes and isn't strict or boring. just pay attention when she asks you to :D
Best spanish teacher in the world! She has an almost perfect english accent, is a fair person, and explains hard spanish concepts very well. Take AP Spanish. You won't regret it.
she's amazing!! such a great human being and i have learned so much from her! she was part of my reason to take AP spanish :)
sra. youngblood (sangrejoven) is the nicest teacher I've ever met, extremely patient and doesnt bear any ill will against any of her students
A very caring and excellent teacher. Watch out though, some of her finals can be brutal, but if that is the case, she'll curve it because she is that nice.
I really enjoyed her class :] she's really nice and caring. do all the homework and projects and you should be able to get an A even with poor quiz and test scores.
LOOOVEEEE HEEEEEEEEERR! BEST TEACHER EVER! I CAN'T WAIT TO GET HER AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!
She is amazing, she loves every student from the bottom of her heart, and it shows!! She's a genuinely caring teacher, and she teaches well. She's a little too trusting when it comes to cheating... (comes from her belief that everyone is good at heart), but i guess that's not a bad thing. She's lenient, too. Overall not a hard class, I just love being around her because she's so great!!! She takes an interest in each and every student. I'm glad to have her next year again.
She is my favorite teacher in all of torrey pines! trust me, you call it busy work but it's actually really good practice for spanish because there's no other way to remember it without doing it over and over. i had her for two years and she's overall amazing. she is super helpful and cares about each student. who doesn't love senora youngblood?
had her for 2 years...shes awesome but she gives too much busy work
Senora Sangrejoven (lol) was an AMAZING spanish teacher. Im in college now, and my prof here doesn't really know what shes doing. I MISS LA SENORA SOOOO MUCH!!!! She needs to come ot my university and teach spanish here!!!
The epitome of Virgo. Alphabetizes everything. Tells you exactly how to organize your binder. She doesn't tolerate distractive people. But she's nice and pretty cool.
She truly wants to help you and make you do the best you can do. Although at times her class can be tedious (as most are) she always tries to spice it up with her latino music and little games. she's an awesome teacher and i had the pleasure of having her 2 years in a row. you are lucky to get her.
By FAR the best teacher in Torrey Pines. Funny, respectful and truly cares about the success you have
I have her for Spanish IV and she really cares about her students, and does everything she can to make each and every one of her students succeed. She also trusts her students and looks on the positive side of other people.
she cares about the students a lot, and is very friendly and does not take favorites. excellent teaching techniques, and listens to reason. but WAY too much work, i had more work in this class than ap hist, eng, and physics combined.
sra is amazing. she is one of the best teachers i have ever had and love her. no matter who you are or whether you like spanish or not, sra youngblood will help you in any way she can. the homework load can be hard, but thats only because spanish IV and AP have homework that you need to spend time on and cant be done during lunch or right before school.
yah shes nice and she tries to get u better at spanish but she cannot expect us to spend ten hours a night doing spanish hw.
She rocks! She's so articulate and she acknowledges the fact that everyone learns differently. I likeher open-mindedness. You also learn a LOT
absolute best teacher. she's friendly, loves her job, loves her students, and is always open and very fair. there is nothing bad to say about her. she's open with her students and all she asks is a little respect.
Along with Villegas, the best Spanish teacher ever. EVER.
The BEST teacher in all of Torrey Pines, and any other school in the mundo...u wont find a better one.
One of the best teachers at TPHS, she grades fairly and seems to understnad what it's liketo be a student. She doesn't assign massive amounts of homework and tries to give you the holidays off. She is an amazing teacher...
She is the best Spanish teacher in the whole world. I so want her next year too! She is so awesome and nice. It was an easy class, but you still learned a lot. She taught things so clearly that everyone got it. She had favorites and people that she didn't like, but that did not affect the class too much. But if you asked for help she would give you the answer, even on a test. She always says that she loves all of her students and that she trusts us until we give her a reason not to, which is awesome.
she's soooo cool....she actually treats her students like real people not like little kids, like some other language teachers i have had
absolutely the best spanish teacher any of my peers or I have ever had. She is the only spanish teacher at Torrey Pines smart and composed enough to teach Spanish. She is very smart, understands how the language works (unlike some other teachers), and grades everything fairly. It is clear that she respects and cares for her students very much. She also has a lot of trust in her students, which is great. I loved having her as my teacher, and she deserves a big THANK YOU
One of the best teachers ever! she actually helps when you have problems unlike some teachers
Si, Senora Youngblood es muy bien! If ur an incoming new student however, be warned: she's a little tough on the slackers. I had her for spanish 1, and I got an A+ in her class, and I didn't try. Then I had her for Spanish 3, and I had to try a little harder then before, but I still slacked and I got a low A. Just be nice and polite to her, and try to do well!
Mrs. Youngblood rocks. Liked having her, she made Spanish enjoyable.
you are so lucky if you get Sra. Youngblood...you will learn a lot and she makes sure that you always have fun! and we can sit with our friends!
She is very motherly and cares. But that also means she has a lot of expectations you have to follow. Spanish 3 was a joke, but AP is pretty helpful.
She is just another great teacher, I wish more teachers were like her.
I LOVE MRS. YOUNGBLOOD. I had her for two years and she is like a mother to me. She is the best teacher I have ever had period. You are lucky if you have her.
She's more like a godmother than a teacher. Mrs. Youngblood cares about you like family. Accept that, and you'll do well. JTP
GREATEST SPANISH TEACHER EVER... somehow she made spanish easy and fun...i cant believe i said that =)
it was a very fun class and taught me a lot. ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO PREPARE U FOR THE AP TEST.
I think this class was easy but I don't think it prepared me for AP
i have had her for two years. she is the best teacher ive had at torrey pines. i hope she teaches ap next year. she loves to help everyone
i should have got an a in participation. o well a really nice and good teacher none the less
soooo easy. just smile a lot and act like you really want to learn and that you "try" your best and noooo problem. accepts late work w/out taking points :)
THE EASIEST TEACHER AT TPHS. An easy A...thank you Sra. Youngblood for giving me another joke class!
senora youngblood is the best spanish teacher u will ever get. she is really set on trying to help u, and making sure u do well in the class.
I LOVE YOU TOO LENOR! WE ALL DO! YOU NEED TO TEACH THE OTHER TEACHER A THING OR TWO!
