dying of a sickness?you cant make up work. write a decent essay? you get a c-. actually listen to her? realize she is constantly muttering to herself. want to learn something? don't take this class. reading selection was alright, but she focuses on random, pointless stuff when going over the readings. want to do well on the AP test? you'll need to prepare on your own time.

I just don't get the poor ratings. She helped me, on her own time, with 5 college essays. I already heard from most of them, and I've been accepted to my top picks. I know she did the same for most of the students -- for three weeks, I think. I love her class! It's challenging, and I wish I had an A, sure, but I feel ready for college, and for the AP test.

AP Eng is a funny class but you have to regurgitate her opinion in your essays to get a decent grade; if you think of your own ideas they get shot down. The class is also freezing cold.

I love her. She's sweet and kind, and I understand the things she teaches. I enjoy talking to her and asking for help. I get an easy A w/o even trying.

Her personal issues, while sad, cause her to treat some students horribly, based not on classroom behavior or academic performance, but on her perception of their outside personality. Be careful.
