I had her for English 2A. She talks a lot about both her own life and what we're learning. Some people get annoyed, but if you space out or something you should be ok. Her class is extremely easy if you do the homework and the essays. A lot of times she graded for completion. There's a definite distinction between first and second semester, though. First was super easy and second I had to work a little harder. Just a little.
She's extremely nice but you ultimately don't learn anything in her class. She always wastes class time every day by talking about her kids, explaining instructions (but never really carrying plans out), or explaining why it took her 3 months to grade our essays. Basically you won't know your actual grade till December cause she kinda leaves all grading for the end of the semester. Anyway, the class is an easy A but if you actually wanna get better at English, it won't happen in this class.
Ms Gavino, she is extremely nice and understanding and that's how a lot of people take advantage of her. She is very easy. If you just show up to her class and do all your work, you can get an A in her class. She talks a lot about her personal life and it gets really annoying honestly but I always use listen to my music and use phone in there. She doesn't seem to mind too much, only if you do your work lol. I hope you guys find this helpful (:
She always talks about super irrelevant things. Haven't learned a single thing in her class. Talking about her children and other parts of her life that no one cares about, really wastes so much time. She takes forever to grade, which shows what a lazy person she is.
Her class is absolutely my easiest class! She side-tracks often about her personal life like how she attended SJSU, has three kids, and worked in some France country. She spends the same amount of time explaining of plans and actually carrying out the plans. She grades easily and barely has homework. If you actually pay attention in class, you can see that she is very knowledgeable. She goes through the steps of uncovering the meaning of books and going beyond the literal meanings.
Ms. Gavino is a really easy teacher. Her work is really easy and simple. Not a lot of projects but her grading is easy also. I barely tried in her class and I got a C and I don't think that's bad.. S
Nice and easy class. Do well on the essays and you have an automatic B or A in the class. You don't learn anything in the class but Hey, its English.
Gavino sidetracks often but it's okay. Her class is pretty easy as well as the homework and such. :D
Have not learned a single thing in her class. And the only thing i can recall her "teaching" was about verbs, proverbs, nouns, and pronouns.. don't we already know what those are? She is a really nice
talks WAY TOO much. i haven't learned a single thing in her class this year.
She's a cool teacher to talk to, outside of school. But not a real great teacher, didn't learn much at all from her.
My writing skills improve a lot after I had her class. Other than that, she has a great personality, help you with whatever she can. Love you, Mrs. Gavino!!
She really cares about you and she tries to help you as much as possible. All you really need to do if you have a problem in her class is just talk to her. She does talk a little much and is easily distracted, but shes a great person.
Yes, it does take her a while to give back papers, but she really cares about her students and will try to help you. Not too hard, and tries to be interesting.
she's cool to talk to, but not very good at teaching which is very boring. a lot of people sleep in her class too.
she's pretty cool. sometimes i might think shes too easy, but i learned something, and thats all it matters. she's kinda funny
Yeah she got off topic and took a while to give back essays, but she's a great person to talk to. I won't forget her niceness and help freshman year.
We all loved her pregnancy because she slacked off of teachin' and just let us do whatever
